  1. Roadwarrior were you at Pickwick for the Bass World Sports Classic? That was last weekend with over 200 boats + FLW pre fishing I can guess it was a mad house, let alone if the "Local" tourney you were at was not the BWSTA Classic. Harshman
  2. Are you having trouble getting good finishes this way? Harshman
  3. I was just thinking the same thing last night as I was looking at a set of lures I received in the last swap. I would defiantly be up for another swap. Harshman
  4. Nice work as always. Harshman

Those traps look great. Good job on the cranks too. Harshman
  6. Sunday was my best day, Saturday I laid a big ol goose egg. It would have helped if my partner and I could have landed 4 out of the 7 keepers we caught on Sunday. Our river bite was hot on Sunday but we just couldn't get em in the boat. Guess there's always next year. It took 20lbs to win and 5.62 was big bass. Needless to say it was tough conditions over 160 boats blanked on day one and if you add in the boats that brought in only 1 the number of boats that struggled was in the 200's. Final total of boats was 270 on launch day. It was an experience I will never forget. Harshman
  7. I have been struggling to keep a good rope on my trolling motor lately. The rope keeps breaking right at the metal grommet that I would think is supposed to keep it from fraying the rope. I have tried several different grades of braided rope and still no luck. So I was thinking of using a piece of coated cable to go from the release pin though the grommet and then attach a rope to the cable. Has anyone ever tried this or think it would be a good idea? I'll post some pics tonight of my handy work to see what you guys think. Thanks Harshman
  8. Thanks for the fishing forecast Needemp. I already have goose bumps on top of goose bumps thinking about that many boats taking off. It will be quite a sight. Thanks for the luck. Glad to hear you won another tourney this year. Way to go!!! Harshman

  11. I like Sinko Baits Shakey Wermz (different spelling not senko) they seem to stand up better than any worm I have fished yet....and don't forget the "Harsh Hedz Shaky Jigs" : : shameless plug I know You can find the Sinko's @ www.sinkobaits.com Harshman
  12. Couple of my favorite pick up lines "That sure is a pretty dress you have on, the only way it would look better is in a crumpled up pile on the floor by my bed ." Or the timeless "Nice shoes, wanna ...." Harshman
  13. Twain is my "home" lake. Up until recent hot weather my wife and I were up there a lot. I mostly fish the rivers , but have really begun to expand my fishing areas there if the river fish have turned off. Not sure where I'm going to start out the tourney yet. Gonna have to wait to closer to time to figure that one out. Harshman
  14. This will be my first year. Have you ever fished it Needemp ? I've heard it draws as many as 300 + boats I can't wait to see a take off like that. This will be one of my first two day tourneys I have ever fished. Harshman
  15. Muddy Still looking for someone to carve these baits for you??? I could give it a try. I've done lots of Zara Spook knock offs so this should be along the same lines I would think. PM me if you are still looking. Harshman
  16. I was just wondering if anyone here plans on fishing the "Bud Light" (23rd Annual Golden Eagle Distributing/ MTL CoC Bud Light) bass tourney Sept 15-16 on Mark Twain lake. It is the longest running tourney on the lake with 23 years strong and one of the few two day tourneys that I know of. Harshman
  17. Is Nice...High Five. Harshman
  18. Personally I re-spool before Every major fishing trip or tourney, unless it is on a reel that is rarely used from it's last re-spooling. To me it's worth it to spend a little more on line and have care free trips and tourneys.....especially tourneys. Who wants to loose time and possibly money when it could be avoided? Harshman
  19. Nice Harshman
  20. Awesome Fish Fourbizz. Makes me very happy to see guys successful on my jig heads. I can't even imagine what it feels like to reel in a smallie that size. We don't get fish like that in my area. Harshman
  21. Welcome to the tackle making world, it is a very rewarding hobby. There are alot of tackle making supply companies out there to help get you started. www.jannsnetcraft.com www.staminainc.com www.barlowstackle.com Like mentioned above be careful, tackle making is very, very, very addicting. You think you can control it and only say you will only make one or two lures...then that leads to more types of lures....and so on and so on. Before you know it you have built a tackle making room in your garage, have more lure molds and accessories than ten people could ever use and so many hooks your friends will think you have to catch fish to survive day to day. And if you run into problems there is always some one on this site that can help. It is truly a great bass resource. Harshman
  22. Very Nice...Great Success...Woh Woo Wee Woo.....Yeeess Harshman
  23. I would ask for a compression test on the motor, how old are the trolling batteries, any fiberglass repairs, any scratches showing fiberglass, all electronics ( including lights) work properly, have the bearings on the trailer ever been serviced, how often the motor was serviced and maintained... winter services...basic maintenance, how many hours are on the motor. If any of these items can't be answered or addressed be careful the owner isn't trying to hide something wrong. Harshman
  24. The decvon 2-ton epoxy will be what 90% of the guys on her recommend. It is an easy product to use and looks great when it dries. Harshman
  25. How bout some pics when your done, I'm interested to see what you come up with. Harshman
