Eagle Cuda 242 (HELP)
could be a bad unit? I have one on my smaller bass boat and it has worked fine since I installed it last year. I am assuming you have tried using it in auto modes with the fish id turned off. If that doesn't work it could just be a bad finder. I'd get a hold of Lowrance and see if they will take care of you. Harshman

sunglasses w/glass
Go to your eye doctor and they will be able to tell you 100% who makes a polarized prescription sunglass. I had Nike glasses until I switched to contacts and they were great. Most of your major name brands will be polarized. Harshman

Lowrance map memory cards
I have one for my GPS and love it. It saves a ton of time unfolding and re folding maps plus it helps guide me through some really nasty channel swings on my local lake. I think they are well worth the money. Harshman

I failed at realistic...
Nobody starts out with a Mona Lisa as their first piece of art work. I think that looks great for your first bait. I look back at some of the ones I made and wonder if a third grader could have done better. Harshman

- PS2 fishing games?
I have a Mark Davis game for PS2 and it is pretty decent. It lets you fish a tourney trail at many different levels. I found mine on ebay for next to nothing. Here is a link to amazon for the game http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008XPJI Harshman- Pro-Tec Tips?
You defiantly have to much paint on the jig and it is running off. Possibly during the pre heat you are overheating the jig? I have found that the paint should still look powdery after you dip it, but you shouldn't be able to rub off the paint for the best results. I also like heating the jigs in an oven and not with a flame , a flame can cause hot spots where as an oven heats evenly. You have to experiment with pre heating times depending on jig sizes. Harshman- advantages of spooling station?
1. open the phone book 2. lay down an old rag 3. spray the rag with a line conditioner 4. close the phone book so that it sandwiches the line in the rag 5. Start reeling in line, if it seems to loose either use more of the pages for weight or add another phone book on top for tension. Harshman- Braid Suggestions
Sufix is more expensive but it is the best of the best. Harshman- Backing off Drags
I loosen mine up for winter or prolonged storage , but as much as I fish there is no use in backing off the drag during the season. I'd wear out the threads on the knob before the reel quit working. Harshman- Unfair Braid is....
What's fair about breaking off a fish and leaving a hook in his mouth that he might eventually die over? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Who says the fish gets a vote in what is fair, I'm just gonna put him back after I've had my fun. Any tackle I can use that will not harm the fish I say bring it on.... Braid, Heavy rods, jerk baits with 3 sets of treble hooks, crank baits that wear sexy fish lingerie, land mines, air strikes, atom bombs...etc I've always wondered if I have ever made a fish late for something or if the other fish put up missing posters. Do you think there is a Bass missing fish division in Lunkerville? Harshman- Anagrams
Bass Resource = A Bros Rescue or Bass Core User Bass Master = Bass Star Me Washington = hogs want in listen = silent Harshman- Favorite Beer...
Killian's if it is a Draft Busch Light in a can Bud Light in an Aluminum Bottle Any sort of Hezenfiefer in a glass bottle And my favorite of all time was Bud Ice Lite...I think they quit making it several years ago but man was it smooth . Back in the party daze that was the only beer I could slam on a regular basis. Harshman- On board battery charger
You won't really see any difference if any in your electric bill. The nice part about these types of chargers are that once they fully charge the battery they go into sleep mode until the battery drains down a little then the charger automatically kick back on to charge them back up . That way you are always fully charged when you want to fish. I have seen guys use these as portable, IMO why not install the charger that way all you have to do after a trip is plug in an extension cord and walk away. I have a Pro Mariner 3 bank charger that I got at BPS and I love it. I think they make the BPS and Cabelas house brands, but the house brands are "cheaper" versions and don't have all of the features the real dude has. Harshman- some new patterns
Those look great Harshman- Shakey head worms
You've inspired me to try it this weekend...what worm do you typically use on this setup? Harshman- Shakey head worms
That set up was featured recently in Bassmaster Mag and it looks very useful. I have yet to try it out though. Finesse fishing is not one of my strong points. Harshman- Shakey head worms
I like the screw in type better myself it makes the bait last longer if you are catching fish, less chance that they get torn off of the jig. Harshman- need a lure for shallow water......any ideas???
can't go wrong with shallow cranks or lip less cranks. you might even try a top water anything....popper, frog, spook Harshman- painting scales
I do one of two things either wrap your entire bait in the netting, stretch it tight and use a cloths pin to hold the extra netting on each end. Or use a sewing hoop and put your netting in it then you can press the net down on the bait with one hand while painting with the other. The only down side to this way is you can only paint one side at a time. They make all different sizes and any sewing shop carries these things, heck you might even find another netting you like while you are in there. Harshman- On board battery charger
If it is a BPS brand keep your receipt, I have heard noting but bad things about their chargers. And don't be fooled into thinking that they have a new model that has fixed all of the problems. Other than that what is your question? Harshman- Shakey head worms
I agree with this 100%, but if you feel more confident with a larger hook you will catch more fish on it because you will fish it better and more often than if you think the smaller hook is going to mess up your chances. There are tackle makers out there that make their shaky heads in a variety of hook sizes. Not sure if I've ever seen an EWG shaky head though, I think it would take away from the action of the bait. Harshman- Frog Reccomendations
I'm a big fan of the Spro frog as well as the Ribbit high floater. My grandpa has a lake on his farm that you can't miss with a ribbit, it is awesome. I'm going there this weekend to camp and hope fully get a lot of pics from the ribbit. Harshman - PS2 fishing games?
