  1. Sounds like the easiest thing to do. Where did you find skirt material that is just on continuous strand????? Harshman
  2. I agree with every one else...... 1. Heavy Rod 2. Braided Line 3. Be patient...wait for the load up only takes a split second usually 4. 4/0 hook or larger EWG with a hitch hiker to attach the bait (like the Horny toad hook) is my favorite hook set up 5. Be prepared to miss fish....it is gonna happen any time you use a top water just make sure to use a follow up cast and get him the second time My brother and I fished together about a month ago and the only thing the fish would bite on was a ribbits frog, similar to the toad. I watched him miss fish after fish on a fast tipped rod and monofiliment line while I was practically catching every fish that would bite on the above mentioned set up. If we had not been fishing for fun I would have kicked him out of the boat for missing so many fish Harshman
  3. The color should be affected by your conditions; water clarity, sunlight, cloud cover, vegetation. Light colors for bright days and clear water, dark colors for dirty water heavy cover or cloudy days. One thing to remember is the fish only see the bottom of the frog so pay attention to belly color. the rest of the frog could be neon orange as long as the belly is a good color First thing I do with a Spro frog is change out the hook to a Gammi with a wider gap. You'll find you get better hook sets and miss fewer fish. My biggest problem with this frog is I set the hook to fast and the wider gap hook seems to help. Harshman
  4. Storage, storage and more storage. Then maybe a good TM, Good Big motor, and a good casting deck Harshman
  5. looks good Harshman
  6. My vote is for Mark Davis Pro Bass Fishing on the PS2. It is a very addicting game and more realistic than most others. it also has a tourney trail with many different levels of competetion that you get to unlock. the only down fall is the fish weights are a little crazy, you can catch 25 lb bass very easily if you know where to look on certain lakes ;D ;D ;D Harshman
  7. here's my low budget ride ;D and my big budget ride ;D Harshman
  8. the only places I have seen living rubber is eBay and good luck there even. be prepared to spend a little to get it to. You can find round cut rubber at the usuals, Stamina, Janns Netcraft But I'm not sure if it is considered live. Harshman
  9. cedar works fine to, You can get 2x2 spindles for a deck from any lumber and they are easy to carve and finish. either way whatever you use make sure it is good and cured before you paint or seal it. You can microwave your carvings for a small amount of time to ensure they are dry. Harshman
  10. If you are wanting cheap but don't care about looks get a dowel rod from your local hardware store. You can get them in many different sizes and they are already round which is half the battle of carving. If you want to spend a little more and get a better quality look for some balsa or bass wood. These finish much better than any hardwood ever could. Harshman
  11. Looks great. Harshman
  12. Great looking baits guys. GMAN are you selling any of those baits? Harshman
  13. If you are using a liquid paint try using the head of a nail, dip it in the paint, then press against the bait. To make the center of the eye use a smaller nail the same way. If you are using powder paint take a drinking straw and press it into the paint then slightly tap the straw against the bait, same way with the inside of the eye only with a smaller straw. Also have you thought of using stick on "3-d" eyes. If you are going to cover the bait in epoxy that is the best and easiest way to go and they will last a long time if you are using a good epoxy. By the way how about some pics of those baits? Harshman

  15. Once again "Road Rages" ugly little sister "Bank Rage" rears her ugly little head Simply stupid to act like that over public fishing water. Harshman
  16. This started about the first of the year, try Jann's Netcraft. When all others were out they still had a few. Harshman
  17. Good job landing the interview. Harshman
  18. Those are amazing. Great work. Did you say these are blanks you get from Jann's ? You make them look better than anything on the market. How much time do you have in each bait to make them look so good? Harshman
  19. Another great site is www.airbrushdepot.com I got my compressor there and the prices are had to beat. I also second the single action ari brush motion, it is alot easier to use on a simple paint project. Harshman
  20. I read this on my local news website today and thought I would pass it along. Just a reminder of how the simplest events can turn deadly when boating. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those involved in this tragic accident..... St. Charles County Man Drowns In Mark Twain Lake Created: 5/16/2007 8:28:59 AM Last updated: 5/16/2007 9:25:46 AM HANNIBAL, Mo. (AP) -- An accident on Mark Twain Lake in northeast Missouri claims the life of a 74-year-old St. Charles County man. The victim is identified as George Blue The accident happened Monday evening. The Missouri State Water Patrol says Blue and his 79-year-old brother were tying up a boat after a day of fishing when Blue fell after stepping onto the dock. As he fell, his belt got caught in a mooring cleat. He went into about five feet of water, and he could not get up. His brother tried to help, but it took about ten minutes before Blue was pulled from the water. He was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital and pronounced dead. Looks great It always amazes me that you guys have the patients to make baits like these. Harshman
  22. Are you selling them? If so how much , I might be interested in a pair. I am like you I haven't found a pair skirt pliers I like yet and don't want to spend the big dollars on a production tool. Harshman
