Bye Bye Oklahoma
I'm not sure they're consistent enough. They played terribly against VaTech. They are DEFINITELY better than they have been in recent years but I still don't think they are anywhere near "elite" again.

How important is a sensitive rod, learned today.
braid helps with sensitivity but not when it's windy.

High End Left Hand Baitcast Reels?
a better question would be "what high end baitcast reels DON'T come in left hand versions?" most of them do.

Bye Bye Oklahoma
I have come to believe that the Big12 has been grossly overrated the past few years (which is why I was so happy when its "three best" performed so poorly at the end of last year). Sure, they beat up on each other and score a lot of points but then they have trouble when they play teams that are very good. We'll have to wait to see how good Texas is. They have a cakewalk schedule with the exception of Oklahoma (who has basically been "meh" so far with losses to BYU and Miami, neither of which are teams that would be considered "elites" or championship contenders) and Oklahoma State who is still questionable.

Bye Bye Oklahoma
There were some questionable calls but Harris is a pretty d**n good quarterback. I'm guessing you haven't watched him much, because that guy can throw. He can complete passes but he can't throw. it's either his arm is weak or he is timid. He never puts the "umph" on the ball. You will see this result in a)underthrows on deep plays b)throwing behind receivers which makes them lose their stride and gain fewer YAC c)throwing lollipops to receivers in the flats and hitch routes that result in the player getting crushed when he finally does catch the ball. Just watch for it. Everytime I watch him play I can't help but notice how long his passes float. And I've watched every one of their games this year.

High End Spinning Reel - which shimano model is comparable to the daiwa steez
just look at the prices. That should answer your question.

ive always wanted to try that place, they play commercials for them here in orlando somewhat frequently...... yet there are none around!??!!??! as for the best fast food burger i have had..... has to go hands down to BackYard Burger! closest one to you is in Ft. Meyers. Red Robin does have good burgers.

Bye Bye Oklahoma
anyone else think some of the calls and noncalls are a bunch of Big12 bs? For example, the "running into the punter" where the punter basically stepped on the guy trying to block it? And then there were TWO clear block in the back penalties that weren't called on that long punt return when the OU returner caught it on the goal line and ran it back into Miami territory (or at least close to it) I love it when Big12 teams lose. Especially to ACC teams with QBs who can't throw.

Spanish...
I have thought about that Dan, actually when I got out I was planning on moving to VA. I had several jobs lined up starting at 80k +. For someone without a college degree that is absolutely unheard of. The reason I didn't is because of a little 4 letter word that controls my life called my wife. She wanted to live near these treacherous things called inlaws... Well talk some sense into that woman. I would love to have your experience and skills right now. Did you learn the standard elementary arabic or did you learn an Iraqi dialect? Apparently everyone understands elementary but if you speak it you sound weird to native speakers.

Anyone try the "new" Zoom Swamp Crawler worm's?
I don't believe they are new. I remember buying a pack at least a year and a half ago. They are nice baits but their thin design makes them tear pretty easily.

Spanish...
I give you credit for learning Arabic. I took one semester at school and then quit. It is definitely a difficult language. Have you thought about federal law enforcement? Not just homeland security but FBI. I've heard they are VERY short on Arabic speakers. With intelligence experience and security clearance you could most likely get a job pretty easily around here. There are plenty of security and intelligence agencies that hire civilian employees. You would probably have to relocate but I'm pretty sure they would pay pretty well.

Arby's.....
Yeah but you can easily make those deli style sandwiches at your house for a fraction of the price.

Arby's.....
ugh! seriously? Every roast beef sandwich that I've had from Arby's has had a consistency close to bologna. I just don't like it. Although the curly fries are admittedly dynamite, as is the chicken salad believe it or not.

yum money hound?
Yeah, because frogs have much better hookup ratios than a single EWG hook! : If you know how to use it it can be about the same! The body of the Hound is very bulky and i just don't see the hook ups being that great. I think they are made to catch fisherman and it is apparently working! I doubt it. Anything with a single hook to drive through a fish's mouth is almost certainly more likely to hook a fish than a hollow bodied frog. I'll be testing them soon, you know, actually TRYING the bait. I'll let you know how it works.

Northern Virginia Boat Owners hmm
So you are basically just looking for a ride?

Skins/ Bucs
Campbell sucks. His stats are good because he never attempts difficult throws. Anyone can complete passes when all you do is throw less than 25 yards. The offense is HORRENDOUS.
-
What the heck.
Keep us posted GMAN, I'd love to see what you say and what they send back. If their system messed up they should be the ones to pay. Maybe you should suggest they send the bill to the people who handle or created their credit card system.

powerpro
I get what you are saying, the information is conflicting and I would also like to hear what the real info is. But the fact is when it comes to braid ALL you do is try to force your opinion down everyone's throats ie: posting Fireline pics in every braid thread and calling other lines "inferior." And you say that "it's cool" if the PP guys like PP yet you post that the line is "inferior" and "outdated." I don't care if you like Fireline but it grinds my gears when you tell me the line that works beautifully for me is "outdated" and "inferior." It may have less strands (and I don't recall personally saying anything about the number of strands) but those 4 strands (or 16 or however many there are) work great for me so I am confused by you calling it outdated and inferior considering the way it casts and handles hauling fish out of thick slop. I'm not trying to be an ***, I'm just trying to explain why some of the "PP guys" might have gotten "bent out of shape." And let's face it, you might not have meant to call Bantam a liar, but that's how your posts read when you add them up, it probably got lost in internet translation: "being that he works for shimano wouldn't you say he is not unbiased?" "i wouldn't trust anything shimano said after that" "shimano now owns powerpro and bantam works for shimano which means he is not unbiased.i personally don't believe powerpro is a 16 strand braid."

Who's been out on the Potomac lately?
You know, I honestly think it reads low but I took a 5lb weight and hung it on there. It read 4.99...Maybe it only reads low for fish? Ya know what? I actually just put a 5 lb weight on my scale and it read a little under 5 lb..... I'm starting to be confused The mystery only deepens! LMAO. What the heck? Once I get some dough I'm going to spring for one of these:http://www.***.com/descpageACCBERKLEY-BTDS.html

yum money hound?
Yeah, because frogs have much better hookup ratios than a single EWG hook! : But seriously, I think it could give a different look to the fish when they don't want a frog. This thing should push WAY more water than a frog if it walks like it's supposed to.

holy crap. SpecEd teachers around here don't make anywhere near that.

Who's been out on the Potomac lately?
on a spring scale? 7lbs on a digital? 5.5lbs ;D Dan thats awesome you caught that SH and can now scratch that one off your list. Did the fish put up a good fight, and also did you weigh it? It's hard for fish to fight in the thick slop, especially the kind that snakeheads live in. It crushed the frog, I set the hook and then horsed him to the top where he thrashed around a little until we (I should say, Potomac Angler) pulled him out. If he were in open water I'll bet it would have been a LOT of fun. I believe it weighed 5lbs 4oz when I weighed it.

Braided Line

I honestly couldn't care less how many strands it is. It isn't waxy and it has NEVER broken on me.
