yeah, stop the spool when it hits the water and then take your thumb off the spool once it starts sinking. At that point I usually pull out a little bit of line so that the bait will fall straight down.

try stopping it completely. and Pline has a lot of memory. Try a line conditioner.

Raccoons used to raid our garbage cans. Cayenne pepper sprinkled on the handles worked for a while but now I just chuck pieces of fruit at them. That usually scares them pretty good.

Oh, and check how many teams the CAA had in the top 10 or 15 last year. UMass, Richmond, JMU, Villanova,Maine, New Hampshire... 5 of the 16 teams in the playoffs last year were from the CAA...4 teams of the 8 in the semifinals were from the CAA...2 in the final four...and the champ...you get the picture.

lol. I have no idea if it works. People use it for prolonging the life of soft swimbaits. I figure it would work on rage tail stuff but you probably won't get any rebates...It sucks, but it might be the best alternative to buying every pack you see.

If it offers a noticeable advancement in techniques that you use then that's great. I'm not being a stick in the mud, I just don't think it would be worth it to me because of the way I fish. I have to say if it was black like it looks in some pictures, I might consider it on looks alone.

Good questions. Actually, he has changed through the years. He's calmed down to a certain degree, especially over the past few years. Most notabely he doesn't let things upset him like they used to. And yes, we're friends, not just professional acquaintences. We became friends while he was still in the federation. And I've met his kids. I'm certainly not trying to brag or name-drop or anything.
