The line exceeds the rating for the reel, the lure exceeds the rating for the rod...I'm just amazed that a rod rated for 1/2 oz and a reel rated for 10lb test is capable of throwing those big baits without breaking.

I am lucky enough to be able to work farther away from DC than I live, so I am usually traveling the opposite direction from most people. 8-)

Hawk, what kind and size of swimbaits do you plan on using? That setup is going to limit you to paddletails and very small hard swimbaits Surfer, What kind of swimbaits are you throwing with a 2500 Tierra?

I just got Verizon FiOS and I now have the World Fishing Network and the Outdoor Channel. I can't watch the shows I have recorded on the DVR fast enough 8-)

It looks just like a Core but white. I like the look, but I'm still not going to spend that much on a reel anytime soon.

I already bought some of the BoBoss worms for shakey heading and a pack of stingers as well. They look great.

And it's not like this tube was thin, it's like a quarter inch thick...I seriously don't understand how you break it unless you are trying to. Luckily, Simmons Sporting Goods is AWESOME and they are shipping me another rod tomorrow.

I almost got that swimbait special rod. Tackle tour rated it VERY highly. I wanted to get it to start throwing big swimbaits but I don't want to get the rod and then have to spend hundreds of dollars on baits. Not yet at least.

I have been drooling over those Gladiators since TW put them up. I'm hoping for a TW gift card for christmas from my parents and I think I may stock up on spinnerbaits for spring.

until we got back from Thanksgiving break me and my roommates had a praying mantis. We fed it bugs, worms, and even newts. Feeding it was AWESOME! Unfortunately, I don't think we remembered to catch any extra bugs to fill his aquarium with while we were away on break. It was cheap as hell and very entertaining for a pet. The only thing we had to pay was for the small fish tank we bought to keep him in. That was only like $13. We fed him with bugs that had nested in our outside shed so that was not only easy to get food for him, but it also helped get rid of the bug problem.

Why won't they test the teachers? That's not an invasion of privacy. Plenty of employers test their employees, what makes the school district any different? In Virginia, they can test students who participate in extra curriculers, why shouldn't the teachers be held to the same standards?

Sam, don't bring that up. I'm still fuming. If the Spiders don't cough up 4 turnovers, they should HANDLE Montana. We would have beaten them by two touchdowns had we not fumbled 3 times and thrown an interception. Montana plays solid, smart football, but they are relatively slow and nonathletic. They have zero stars. I just hope Richmond plays solidly and shows them how good the CAA is. It sucks that Rodney wasn't able to fulfill the season of destiny...He is more athlete than all of Montana.
