006 Banjo Minnow
I'll echo roadwarrior's recommendation of a slug-o in similar circumstances. If you rig them with the right hook, you can get them to dance pretty darn well.

Kingsnake versus Copperhead
Alright, well I think I saw either an Northern Watersnake or a Copperhead the other day, I'm not sure because I don't really remember what I saw well, and it was in the water.

another cell question
That happened with my first phone upgrade. I had all my contacts on the phone, not the card. On my second upgrade, there was something wrong with the contacts on my SIM card so I couldn't transfer them. If you can, take the old phone to a Nextel store (if they exist, I only see Verizon stores around me) along with the new phone (or to get the new phone there) and ask the people there if they can transfer it. If they can't do the SIM transfer, sometimes they can do some sort of link up to go straight from phone to phone (although I don't know if they can do that with all phones, they did it with my new one though)

Cheap reel?
That's the conclusion I came to. I was gonna get a $50 baitcaster for my first one, but after reading about the cheaper baitcast reels, I decided to wait and get a Shimano Citica (still fairly cheap but also a nice reel) so that I could have something that worked the way I want it to, last a while, and keep me from wanting bigger and better for a while.

Needs some advice on "Catch and Release".....
I'm glad you brought this up FishTank, I've been wondering what I would do in the same situation. I think I would have just called a game warden, but when I came up with that conclusion, I realized I didn't have their number in my phone, so I just put it in so I would be prepared. I always thought it was ridiculous to fish for bass to eat when you could easily buy something cheaper and better tasting. If he is not doing anything illegal, though, I don't think you can do much besides telling him the advantages of C&R for maintaining sizes and populations of fish. If that doesn't appeal to him and he doesn't change his ways, I don't really see much else you could do, it is America afterall...

006 Banjo Minnow
hmm, looks like the old threads got deleted with the forum upgrades or something... Basically, most people bought them, tried them, and never used them again. Some people say they do well with them, but the great majority of the opinions are negative.

Bass Pro Shops Extreme baitcast reel
Try a more expensive reel out in a store, then you won't need to imagine a better reel, you can feel one. I don't think it's fair to discount the benefits of a more expensive reel without even trying them. If you haven't tried them, you can't assess the differences fairly. You can't know the benefit of fishing with a reel with a better drag system, lighter weight, more durability, and more power unless you actually use one... Don't get me wrong, I'm all for finding something that you like without spending more than you want to, but go test out a more expensive reel at the store, then you'll know what the possibilities are.

006 Banjo Minnow
Do a search for "Banjo minnow" on the forum search, there have been loads of threads about this subject. It's been around for a while, and while some people use it, the majority of opinions will tell you that it is infomercial garbage EDIT: I didn't realize the "006" was a new version, but I imagine it won't change the Banjo reputation...

Man this sucks bad
My brother did almost the same thing at the beginning of his last game of his senior year. Now he has a dead guy's ACL in his knee and a constant cracking noise when he walks. Damaging an ACL sucks, the LCL and MCL usually heal pretty quickly though.

Kingsnake versus Copperhead
Micro, what is the best way to tell Virginia's venomous from non-venomous snakes? I see snakes a lot but I never know what kind they are and I figure it could come in handy to know the difference.

Favorite Beer...
I agree Ole Biker, there is a bit of snobbery when it comes to some beer drinkers.

Tubes for smalles?
- HELP - getting rid of Mallards
That's terrible dude.- WOW BIG Smallmouth on Basstrix
why not? They love 5" and 6" jerkbaits, paddletails are only a little bigger in profile.- Tubes for smalles?
For open areas: OR For brushy, snaggy areas:- Lake Frederick - Front Royal VA
that's exactly what I thought the time I went.- I think it's over.
I have to figure out if my 10ft will fit on the trailer. I'd rather just keep it instead of having to fix the boat that comes with the trailer, but I do plan on inquiring further about this. EDIT: F*#$! The listing was taken down!! Did someone from BR get it? Btw, Rob. My dad just took our Taurus to the shop and it racked up $1800 in repairs. Something about a sway bar in the front, cracked springs in the rear suspension and something with belt tensions. I'm definitely down for Fish-a-palooza. My dad wanted to go to the Nats game but I would much rather meet up and fish with a bunch of the NoVA guys. What time/location are you planning, Rob?- HELP - getting rid of Mallards
Try a paintball gun. We use them to keep raccoons away. It may be a little strong for a bird though...- I think it's over.
If you can tie your shoes you can do the wiring on a trailer. Oh no! I use the vel-cro straps! :-[- I think it's over.
dang! I wonder if he'll just sell me the trailer... I need to check that out because even just the trailer would really help me tow around the boat I already have... Anyone know how to do the wiring?- Fish keep breaking my line. Advice needed
I had this issue with my Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft recently as well. I started to check the line for nicks and cut off the line above any that I found. That seems to have stopped the problem for now.- Bluegill Swimbait on Bass Pro's TV Show?
Mike, that's really cool to be involved with the design and production of a bait, especially such a beautiful one, great job.- Noisy Citica?
Yeah, it doesn't seem to affect the performance of the reel, I was just concerned that something might be grinding or something... Ok, Rob, let's give your stuff a shot.- Noisy Citica?
has anyone else experienced a loud "zzzzzzzzz" noise on their citicas? It is too loud to be normal and it doesn't always do it. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing the problem?- Bluegill Swimbait on Bass Pro's TV Show?
Thanks for the info Bass XL, that's pretty much what I figured. All of these baits look good but if I get one, I don't wanna spend a ton of money on it. - HELP - getting rid of Mallards
