ahahaha ;D that looks AWESOME! What kind of seasoning do you have on those?
  2. and down the road from some great smallmouth wading.

probably best to avoid the river if the current is that bad. Or find a place like a dam that slows it.
  4. my dad saw that and said it was great. Cloverfield - I just rented this one. It was kind of strange and I didn't like the ending, but it was definitely thrilling. The way they shot it from the perspective of a guy with a camcorder was really awesome. At the beginning, it made me think of what it would be like to have been in New York on 9/11, just utter chaos of a huge disaster.
  5. they seem great for smallmouth. $6-9 bucks for a two pack is a little steep though. It sucks that most of the good sizes are sold out at TW right now...
  6. I think the Giant snakehead is the bigger, badder version. I don't think they've found them in VA waters though, only the northerns
  7. congrats, dude. I think its funny you had a fish nemesis.
  8. there is a small group of anglers that target them for sportfishing in DC, VA, and MD. I believe they still kill what they catch, but they try to catch them for the fun of the fight.
  9. it's good to hear such good reviews of this bait, especially considering I just ordered a couple of em

ok, that sounds pretty much just like a walleye ;D

I've always wondered, do zander fight like walleyes or just look like them?

lol, no, well, sorta. I just know that from watching cops or something like that. Stealing something valued at or over $200 is grand larceny. That means if you steal 9 Megabass cranks (a tackle tray's worth) it would be grand larceny...Wow. My major is Justice Studies with a concentration on Global Justice and Policy. It's in the same major as law enforcement stuff but my concentration is more centered on politics and international affairs as well as human rights, etc...
  13. you mean a rooster fish, right?
  14. Yeah, that came off a little harsh, rw. Anyway, I never thought about line bouyancy in the terms of surface tension, that's something new to consider. I think YZ Hybrid US would work for almost all occasions, though. I love it for plastics and it has worked very well for me on topwater baits as well.

be careful guys, stealing megabass baits can very quickly turn into grand larceny for how much they cost!
  16. as far as I know, smallmouth don't turn silverish. The previous posts were talking about largemouth, which do get silverish when in deep waters for extended periods of time. Could it have been a large shad or shiner?
  17. I'm curious how you rigged it. Can you post a pic?
  18. It would probably end up costing us more. We would already have to ship the crude here and since there is waste in the crude we'd be shipping more gallons of crude then we would end up with gas. Then it would also cost more to refine it here then it would to refine it in India. The labor costs would be significantly less there. So, in essence it would probably save us money. Now it definately wouldn't make any sense whatsoever for us to ship our crude to India, refine it, and then ship it back. That would cost us more. But we have ample refining supply to handle our domestic production. yeah, i suppose that makes sense. I didn't think about the lower costs of labor in foreign countries.

That reminds me of my experience with walleye
  20. So what's the conclusion? Is it worth the $5 to try out? I'm going to make an order at *** soon and I need some line and they don't have Yo Zuri so I wanted to try something similar.
  21. yeah, I was fishing pretty heavy current the other day and I noticed that when I had slack in the line, the slack line floated on the top of the water pretty noticeably.
  22. Anyone know much about this line? How does it compare to something like YZ Ultrasoft in limpness, sensitivity, memory, stretch, etc? I'm specifically looking at #8 and #14
  23. wow, that is hilarious. Don't forget to let us know about the strange looks you get ;D
  24. did the jaw extend past the eye? that's really your best bet to tell the difference.
  25. Why build them here? A refinery in India is being doubled in size to provide 5% of the worldwide demand of gasoline. Why import oil and then refine it here when we can just import the product that we want (gasoline)? why pay a middle man? wouldn't we be able to have lower prices by buying unrefined and do it ourselves instead of paying others to do it for us?
