Fish for Dollars, You are in my thoughts and prayers for your recovery.
  2. that is funny,,, i have seen some really sad driving by the fairer sex... my mom actually put her car in the ditch one time.. damaged the driver front quarter panel and the passenger rear quarter panel.. that was all that was damaged. Never did figure out how she did that.
  3. I passed,,, surprised the heck out of me, lol.... However, would never be able to tell you how many passes.
  4. Welcome!!!!!!!! I am a big guy, 300 lbs. and 6'4" I fish out of a 14 ft. Fisher, that is only 42 wide, and it is plenty stable even with 2 guys in it. I am lowering my front deck, for myself, because of medical reasons, not because it was unstable.. By the time you get batteries, motors, gear and yourself in the boat, it will stabilize nicely.
  5. Looks like an Excellent job. That boat should give you many great memories on the water. Can not wait to see pictures of it soon with Fish on Board.
  6. I have fished JonBoat tourneys, and most guys use a 60-100 qt. cooler and an aerator of some kind. Along with rejuvenate or similar product, most fish are almost to lively at weigh in... a few have jumped out of the live well and escaped during removal for weigh in. ;D ;D ;D
  7. Just fill a room up with set bear traps, then throw the scumbags in from a second story window....save even more time.. :
  8. I have a 14 ft. Fisher that I decked. I am 6'4" and about 300 lbs. My main fishing buddy is about 280 lbs. We fish all the electric only lakes around here with no problems.

Muddy, Your story is an inspiration of hope, and I for one salute you in your efforts. I personally know someone that has been clean for over 20 yrs. and every day they admit that they still want it. It is a constant struggle. May you always have the strength and courage to continue the good fight, and if you ever need anyone to talk to or blow off steam to, do not hesitate to give me a holler. John,
  10. Thanks for the info,, somehow i missed those when i was looking around.
  11. I am wiring my boat for bigfoot switches to be purchased at a later date. My question is this; where do I find 6 & 8 ga. wire connectors? Also, does anyone have an inexpensive way to add a way to disconnect the motors from the wiring should the trolling motors need to be taken off the boat. I am kind of on a tight budget here so any help would be grateful. Thank you
  12. Call her the "Bass Yak" Sounds good to me, anyway
  13. Tri-hulls are good boats, very stable. However, they are not in my opinion a river boat, or a boat to use in any current,. The 3 hulls catch the current and you go back and forth. For a lake boat, they are fantastic, I can not wait to see the pics as you fix it up.
  14. It is kind of like that credit card.. never leave home without it... and never go fishing without using it... It works for me.
  15. Congrats.... Another 3 yrs. you will make it to 1000 posts.
  16. I prefer the Minn Kotas, simply because of the flexible shaft. I fish a lot of lakes with stumps, logs, etc.... and I have bumped into a few. It is nice knowing the shaft will flex enough to keep it from bending on you. Just mho
  17. This is my brother's Mustang that he has built himself and races. He is running low 11 seconds, and it is street legal as well.
  18. How about the "I'm Gonna Get Fired If I Don't Get Off Of Here" club? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D how true how true
  19. thanks guys, I thought I would never get here. I truly am looking forward to the next 1k posts, and all the info to be gathered here.
  20. Nope, not an eastern thing, I am from Montana originally and Most recently, Washington state before my wife drug me here to Georgia... Have you ever eaten bear or cougar???? Now that is a western thing, for sure. Now if we were talking possum, then, yea, I would have to agree with you.
  21. just be careful until you know how stable it will be while you are fishing. Wear your PFD and enjoy. That 36 will push you around fine, not high speed but will get you where you want to go.
  22. Finally I got to 4 digits in posting. It seems to have been just yesterday when I stumbled on to this site and registered as a newbie. It has been a true learning experience. I commend Glenn, and all the mods for all the improvements and for keeping the peace. You guys ROCK! To all you guys (and gals) on BR. Thank you for all your knowledge, help, support and friendship. I look forward to the next thousand posts, and learning even more. My only wish is that Avid was still here. I miss his wit, wisdom and thoughts. Now, ya'll quit reading this and go FISHING!!!! Go, now, get outta here. I want to see more pics of big bass, boats being rebuilt and lures, rods and reels. Thanks everyone. John
  23. Now that's funny right there,,,, ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
