  1. I thought rainbow when I first saw the pic.
  2. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/user/10286-edbassmaster/ Hasn't been on in over a year. Guess he got too big for the Ol' BR
  3. Man, Ed was on here before he was "Ed Bassmaster" Been around a long time, just don't see him much.
  4. Just happened to be reading a review of "Bad Grampa" on MSNBC and wouldn't you know it, they referenced Ed. That's some pretty good press there for Ed. Very cool. http://www.today.com/entertainment/jackass-six-most-squirm-inducing-stunts-8C11440613#
  5. They catch fish. Period. If you've got fish relating to the bottom, fish it like a jig with short hops, drags, etc. If you have fish relating to an outside weed edge or suspended off the bottom and they won't eat the hard bluegill, the Mattlures original bluegill will actually "swim" better than the second version. When you get one, here are the directions for boiling the tails on the baits (on his website). Do it right out of the package. The clamshells that hold the baits are flat on the cardboard side. This causes the tails to bend off center. I boil the back half of EVERY bait, regardless if it appears to be off or not. This goes for Matt's gills, Hudds or any other soft bait with a boot or double boot tail. I've said it a million times before but the Hardgill, bar NONE, is the most versatile and effective swimbait across the country day in and day out. There isn't a person anywhere that is capable of convincing me otherwise. There are other baits that may work better in certain situations but overall, the Hardgill gets it done.
  6. Nice CP. That's a good looking bait and fish.
  7. Nate, sent you a PM.

Didn't get a pic yet but just picked up a NIB S&W M&P 15-22 for $250 the other day. Also have a Ruger 22/45 and 10/22 coming from a Ruger promotion. Scot free.
  9. Yep, if it's a new build you are going to be disappointed. I got all excited when I saw a Ruger 10/22 full auto conversion DVD offered from YT. Then I found out the penalites for conversion. I'll just let my finger do the extra reps, thanks. Pre 86 auto only.
  10. LOL, I don't really know where it is to be honest. If you know of another that differs from the one Alan mentioned and you need a rider, give me a shout. Hell, if you know of any give me a shout anyhow. If I don't hear back from him, I'll fish with you if you need a partner.
  11. LOL, Jeff weren't we having the same type of discussion yesterday?
  12. I've got a cousin who is a large animal vet. He did studies in N/S Dakota on mule deer populations. He's originally from TN and didn't really seem to mind it, although he did say some of the winter days were BRUTAL. Guess it all depends on how much you are gonna make. I can tell you one thing, the bird hunting there in PHENOMENAL.
  13. LOL, thanks fellas. It's definitely aging, noticed some more grey in it the other day. We'll call it "distinguished"
  14. I'd have to say Clear Lake or Falcon. Tough choice. Baccarac if we are going international.
  15. Voted "other" for Sicilian, guessing that would be closer to Chicago (wasn't sure) You can never go wrong with "free" as a choice either.
  16. Focus on the important stuff Stitch. Get through this, we are pulling for ya.
  17. Alan, you still down for that Tournament in November? Hit me up.
  18. I dont know about another 3" being necessary. The one in my avatar was only 22" and was 7-8. Just depends on the fishery and how they are built. OP, you are right about the pics. I was gonna guess 4.5lb or so....
  19. M60 If Rambo can do it, so can you.
  20. Nice man! Glad to see I'm not the only one doing the "cross the bibs so they don't slide off my shoulders" dance.
  21. That's how it works at my store. No returns on Shimano/Loomis or St. Croix. That directive comes from the manufacturer, not the store.
  22. Simply put, there are better baits. I agree with Jrob, never heard anyone speak highly of them. For $30, I'd find a MS Slammer on sale.

SBRs are NFA items. They are not classified as handguns. They are treated the same as suppressors, full auto, etc. Fill out the paperwork, pay the tax stamp.
  24. ^ Gotcha. There is no shame in trying. You never know what may happen.
  25. I find myself looking at this pic again today. It's very inspirational on a couple levels.
