  1. Male and female Hardgills are tough to find. Some of the other colors are available I believe. Keep an eye out on some of those other boards, they pop up occasionally.
  2. You wont be sorry with the Hardgill, I promise.
  3. Deadsticking a pink buzzbait really fast or burning it really slow. Killer.
  4. Meeting a buddy up there this weekend. I'm down for catching whatever is big, not picky. LOL
  5. I don't agree with the GW statement at all. (In bass fishing anyway) I'd rather have the rod in my power hand, especially when fishing a single hook bait, to drive the hook home. Cranking in a bass isn't hard at all.
  6. I hate driving the whole way up there without any current info. Anyone got tips for this time of year up there? Water temps? Likely places to look? Thanks in advance.
  7. If I've got open water, I'm throwing a swimbait. I love seeing someone's face the first time they see the drawing power a big wakebait has. It's inspiring.
  8. I don't really get mats on my home lakes. If I fish a T with a buddy on some other lakes I will. Honestly, I'll mix in some other stuff occasionally due to conditions but the bulk of my days on my home water play out like the above scenario. Can't catch swimbait fish throwing a drop shot. Notthing against a drop shot, just not my style. Life is full of variety.
  9. Winter: 1. Swimbait 2. Jig Spring: 1. Swimbait 2. Fluke 3. Jig Summer: 1. Swimbait 2. Jig Fall: 1. Swimbait 2. Jig All day baby!
  10. Awesome. I'm down if you want to fish it. Might have to gameplan with you a bit beforehand but I think we could do well.
  11. Alwife, shiner and common minnow are more likely, along with the fry of the naturally reproducing game fish in the lake. There are probably some lakes with shad up that way but they are not a hearty fish at all. Cold water kills them. Raystown in Central PA has a huge shad population as well as Alewife. That being said, a bass is an opportunistic feeder and IMO on sees it as a "fish"
  12. They've captured something like 13 alligators in New York this year. People are dumb.
  13. The invader is a good Xbow for sure. I think the OP may need an Accudraw though, not just the Accu 50.
  14. LOL, you need help.
  15. Gemma. She already knows how to ride on the back of the Harley. Perfect.
  16. I'll eat every last one until they are no more. LOL
  17. Nicotene = Drug A few beers = you drink Why don't you just stop while you're ahead. No one here claims to be perfect but I can tell you I did the same stuff. Did I have fun? Hell yes I did. Would I take back some of the dumb stuff if given the chance? You bet your rear end I would. I sit here with the luxury of experience and I can tell you firsthand, make better choices. I didnt want to hear it when I was your age and I'm sure you couldnt care less hearing it from an anonymous guy on Bass Resource, so take it as you will.
  18. Swimbaits only work in California. LOL, sure....
  19. I like both. REALLY like EVA on my swimbait sticks, especially where I tuck it under my arm. I also like the look of Burl. I've got a pitching stick with burl sections and it just looks better the more I use it. Looks "seasoned"
  20. Should be good to go with referencing Matt's baits now.
  21. Maybe weigh them? I'd probably contact them directly to sort it out instead of posting in the open forum. If it was a mistake, either company has a great track record with customer service.
  22. Allen, definitely get ahold of me. I'll fish in November. The warm clothes are already out for hunting season so it's just a matter of getting rods together. It's a buddy tournament I assume?
  23. Hey, I don't fish like you do and my offer is always open. I'm not hard to find.
