  1. I had a couple packs of Speed Craws in straight black and they were MONEY. For some reason, just dont have confidence in the red/blue/purple flaked black colors they have in that bait now.
  2. Putting gills on my Hudds and other soft baits. Really makes it come alive.
  3. I dont get how they can "indent" the stock knob of the reel? The inside of every reel grip I have ever seen is smooth.
  4. It won't. My 3:16 hardbaits that I get direct from the manufacturer have the paint smell to them too. Just to ease your mind, slather the bait with Megastrike. It will mask the scent and also lube the bait up to come through weeds better. Also helps soft plastic baits slide past bass teeth without getting torn up as bad.
  5. Three hours. Very doable. Hell, I drove 6 hours to Erie to fish with Dwight and then 6 hours home the same day. Now THAT was a tiring trip. LOL
  6. I say donate the fish to a local homeless shelter.
  7. I already knew that WD was no bueno on my gear. Seeing Fracho and RM echo that thought just reinforces it and adds a better explanation.
  8. Nope, the lippin' thumb is on the other hand. I've had bass thumb on an occasion or three.
  9. I'm the guy that refers those cases to you, only in PA.
  10. I like and use reel grips but I do have one issue with them. I don't know if it is the ribs, the material or what but after all day of cranking/swimbaiting with them on my reel, my thumb looks like I pulled it over a cheese grater a couple times. The benefits outweigh the issues for me, so all my reels get the slip ons.
  11. I think the difficulty in keeping that bait in the "prime" zone for suspension would be huge, especially if we are talking cast and retrieve lures. The curved ends of a cast with the bait getting to maximum depth and then you reeling back to the boat keep it "deep" for a relatively short time. Long line trolling a lure may yield more effective results. Just thinking out loud with you.
  12. Where you at? Shoot me a PM with address and I'll see how far away you are.
  13. I hit the WAAAY upper Potomac this weekend looking for musky. Nothing.
  14. Hell, I just wish it was April at this point. Just got done snowing here. Again.
  15. Smuckers, in all his snowy glory.
  16. Trash Fish is a better bait IMO. Kinda like what happened with the Basstrix and the Shadalicious/Money Minnow/etc except in this instance money and credit given to the original.
  17. Kent, you're gonna get hung up if fishing it correctly IMHO. Just need to have equipment big enough to rip it up out of the junk. If you're not getting stuck, you're not in the right spots.
  18. I use it to grease the hubs on the boat trailer. You should see the fish attached to the wheels when I pull out of the water. LOL
  19. Ah, so you help people too. LOL
  20. Clayton, what is the forward grip? Looks like a d**n taser. LOL
  21. I've got the Ruger, somehow still sitting in the safe. Dont know how it shoots but dam, is it pretty. LOL
