  1. I have a few Flicker Shads, and have had some decent success with them. I like the Triple Grip Hooks on them. The Frenzy Diver is pretty good also. Falcon
  2. So sorry to hear of your loss. I made a promise to my family many years ago, to wear my PFD while in the boat. Normally, if I'm fishing with someone, I just wear my PFD while the boat is under power. If I'm by myself, I wear it all the time. I wish we could convince everybody to wear their PFD, but so many guys think it's not the macho thing to do. Falcon
  3. Sometimes in Africa, Lions and other predators are killed because they are rogues, that kill the tribes cattle. I've watched a couple hunting shows where the hunt was initiated for that reason. There was a disclaimer at the end of the show, stating the lion was killed because he killed X number of cattle and needed to be taken out. Falcon
  4. Lake St. Clair has been ice-free for about two weeks, however my canal was frozen until two days ago. I just checked the water temp, it's 39*. I think I'll try spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and lipless cranks. Falcon
  5. I'm not sure I'll ever reach that goal, but it sure is fun trying. Falcon
  6. Good looking baits!! I especially like #3 and #5. Falcon
  7. Very cool. I too would like to see a larger picture. Since the introduction of the Revos, I still fish with a couple Abu Garcia round reels, in my everyday arsenal, I just can't part with them. All my muskie, and salmon rods have Abu round reels on them. They just can't be beat. Falcon
  8. I always use a double willowleaf style spinnerbait. I fish clear, weedy water, and the willowleaf works best for me. Falcon
  9. Dow and Bekki make a quality spinnerbait. I fished them last season, with great success. I really believe the rattle chamber made a difference on a number of fish. There were days I would fish an area with my Terminator spinnerbait without getting any fish. I switched to the Rattle Head and would pick up a few fish. The only thing different was the "Rattle Chamber". Falcon
  10. I'm surprised to hear you had problems with your Xr50 hooks and split rings. I caught well over 100 bass and one muskie on mine last season, with absolutely no issues. Falcon
  11. I don't think there's any danger in Burley hurting himself with that edge.LOL Falcon
  12. I'd rather have it and not use it, than need it and not have it. Falcon
  13. Two things have helped me in that senario. Either a spinnerbait or a T-Rigged 4" senko. Last year there were a couple times when I just kept tossing a lipless crankbait to the same place until the fish got aggrivated enough to strike. Falcon
  14. I have two Guide Series Pro Select rods. Very good rods, especially for the money. Falcon
  15. I'm not a big fan of the BPS reels, however, I do like the 7'-4" Split Grip Extreme Rod my wife got me for Valentine's Day. I also like my Crankin Stick. Great rods for the money. Falcon
  16. Megastrike. Falcon
  17. When I want a knife, I buy a Schrade. They are quality knives, at an affordable price. Then I can spend the other $350.00 on fishing tackle. Falcon
  18. My Bullfrog Zara Spook. I like my Sammy alot also. The Sammy sure is easier to walk. Falcon
  19. I was having issues with braided line. I talked to a couple of my walleye pro buddys. Both of them said go get a bottle of KVD Line & Lure and your problems will disappear. I did, and no more problems. I don't know why, but it works. That's all I need to know. Falcon
  20. I don't care what they call it. As long as I keep catching alot of quality fish with it. KVD said that Mark Zona was the guy that named it. Falcon
  21. Just last week, my wife informed me that she wanted the same washer/dryer combo. With everybody jumping on the "green" bandwagon, maybe it's a good decision. Falcon
  22. Ayden Dylan Trevor Gavin In case anyone cares, those are the names of my grandsons. Falcon
  23. Very good article. Thanks for posting it. Falcon
  24. I typed in my address, and a note comes up that says they can't find it. Then I typed my old address from 14 years ago, and they just showed a map of the area. HMMMM Falcon
  25. I agree with SirSnookalot and Muddy. Falcon
