  1. Welcome back! It's good to see you posting again. Falcon
  2. Hey Gary, I've got some St. Clair Smallies calling your name. Falcon
  3. These are the spinnerbaits I use. Terminator T1, they hold their shape forever. Rattle Head Baits, that rattle will catch fish even after you ran a different spinnerbait through the same water. Strike King Premier Plus. Falcon
  4. This seems to be a common problem, however I've never had any break. Rapala supposedly fixed the problem. Contact Rapala, they will replace them. Falcon
  5. 1-Bomber Square A 2-Norman Mad N 3- Custom baits made by John Mills (These are THE BOMB) 4-Strike King Series 1 5-Rapala Shallow Shad Raps Falcon P.S. I forgot the Bomber Balsa B.
  6. Good choice roadwarrior. Mine was a smallie magnet this weekend. I even caught a muskie with it. If you're fishing clear water, Pearl Melon is also a good choice. It's been kicking butt here on St. Clair. Falcon
  7. Chocholate for me. I'm a chochoholic. Falcon
  8. Back in the early 90's, before I started teaching for the college, I did some business in the deep south. Sometimes my clients would take me to dinner. My two favorites were a Pig Pickin, and best of all a Crawfish Boil. My wife doesn't understand, she always asks "You're eating bait now?" She's pretty open minded, however I can't get her to try the crawfish. Hey Sam, because of your post, I'm going to take my wife to Fishbones for dinner tonight. They're Cajun food isn't as good as the real thing, but it's a fair substitute. It sounds like you guys had a pretty good weekend. Falcon
  9. Thanks Glenn, that answered a few of my questions. Your timing was perfect, I'm going to be using the Rage Tail Shads this evening. Falcon
  10. I fish them from ice-out to freeze. They do seem a little more productive in Spring and Fall. Falcon
  11. They are different. I prefer Xcalibur Xr50 or Strike King Red Eye Shad lipless crankbaits. Rattlin Rapalas too. Falcon
  12. Crankbait or spinnerbait. Falcon
  13. *** "Hookup" worms are THE BOMB!!! They are a little bulkier and hold up alot better than alot of other worms. They flat-out catch alot of fish. The price is right too. Falcon
  14. WOW!! That was a close call. Glad you're OK. Falcon
  15. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. It's good to have another Michigan member. What town do you live in? I'm in Chesterfield Twp. Falcon
  16. On my boat I always have 7 baitcasters and 2 spinning. Shimano Quantum St. Croix BPS Falcon
  17. That combo will be fine. As roadwarrior said, you can always upgrade your rod later. If you get a inferior reel, you'll sacrifice casting distance, and most of all, a smooth drag. In my opinion, a good, smooth drag, is most important of all. Falcon
  18. It seems like every year while muskie fishing, I catch a 10" bass on a 12" muskie bait. They're tough little buggers. Falcon
  19. I've been singing that song for the past ten years. I even wrote my congressman. All I got was...."I'll look into it". As Sam said, here in Michigan, we have a boating safety course for kids twelve years old. They must pass this course to operate a boat, or PWC. Falcon
  20. My buddy just picked up his new Camaro last Monday. That car kicks butt. Falcon
  21. Nice looking baits. I personally like the deep diver. The orange and black work very well for me at night. The holo looks fantastic also. Great job!! Falcon
  22. That's why I live on this pond? There is no lake like it, as far as I'm concerned. It's very easy to fall in love with this place. Since 2001, when I started keeping track, I've caught 122 Smallies six pounds or over, not to mention, countless 4-5 pounders. Falcon
  23. Looks great. I bet you'll kill them. Falcon
  24. Eric, That's a sweet stick, however I think somebody put the handle on the wrong side of your reel. Just kidding VERY nice combo. Falcon
