  1. I'm using the 4.5" size, with a 7/0 Stanley Frog/Swimbait Hook 3/8 oz. I also am using a #6 treble hook on the belly. Falcon
  2. I saw them in a magazine a couple weeks ago, but I was under the impression they wouldn't be available until May. I'll have to go to Dick's, or BPS to see if they have any. Falcon
  3. Is anybody using the Bass Magic Soft Swimbaits made by LUCK"E"STRIKE? I got some at BPS to give them a try, and I can't believe how durable these things are. I've caught 21 largemouth on one, and it still looks like new. I was a little skeptical when I bought them, but not anymore. I have some Shadilicious also, but I haven't tried them yet. Just thought I'd do my own commercial for these things. Falcon
  4. Rapala has the Shad Raps, X-Raps, and DT series. Just pick your colors, and sizes. I fish very clear water, and the colors that work for me are: Red Craw Shad Silver Silver/Blue Hot Pink Olive Green Falcon
  5. I'm about 120 miles North of you, and so far this Spring my best producers have been crankbaits. I was getting a few on spinnerbaits, but that bite stopped. I can't catch a cold on any plastics. Of the crankbaits, the best has been Rapala Shad Raps, and some custom baits made by one of our members. Yesterday I started picking up a few on soft swimbaits. Hope this helps. Falcon
  6. KVD, He's a class act, and he sure can fish. Any time I've spoken with KVD, he always answered my questions, and usually added a little more helpful information. Another fisherman I like alot is Skeet Reese. Not only can he fish, he's pretty funny. Falcon
  7. The largemouth FINALLY moved into my canal. Now I can fish for them until I get the boat in the water, and start to chase those smallies. Falcon
  8. What sad news. Mark Fidrych was loved here in S.E. Michigan. He won our hearts in 1976 with that magical season. He will be missed. Falcon
  9. They're great with a single tail grub. Swimming or hopping. Falcon
  10. I have equal success with lipless crankbaits, jerkbaits, and spinnerbaits. Falcon
  11. Now that's funny. Falcon
  12. I fish the 100 & 78 about the same amount of time. Falcon
  13. Very sad story. Him, his family, and friends will be in my prayers. Falcon
  14. Beautiful job. It looks perfect the way it is. Falcon
  15. Nice job!! Sweet looking bait. Falcon
  16. Over the years, with all the Abu Garcia reels that I own, I've always used their oil, except for a synthetic oil my brother gave me. Never had any problems. Falcon
  17. Any of the Revos are great reels, I have many of them. Another reel that I have been very pleased with is the Daiwa TD Pro. They are made exclusively for BPS. Twelve bearings and swept handle, along with many other features. They are also on sale for $99.94. Falcon
  18. I've used Trilene XL for over twenty years. I've tried other lines, but always go back to my trusty XL. Whether it's the best or not, I don't know, it's always performed well for me. Falcon
  19. All variations of the Shad Rap would be number one, followed by a white double willowleaf spinnerbait, and then a Rattlin Rapala. Falcon
  20. Maybe where those Under Armour people fish they have some strange hybrids. "Trass or Brout" Otherwise that is a Bass. Falcon
  21. Congratulations Hookem, You have quite a journey ahead of you. I'm sure you'll do well. Falcon

My wife suffers from Maneers Syndrome (sp). It's a problem with her inner ear filling with water. When the dizzy spells first started, she was walking the dog, and like Avid, fell to the ground and couldn't function. Fortunately one of my neighbors saw her and phoned me. She has to take a diuretic every morning, and this helps alot. when she does have an episode, she takes a Valium and lays down until it goes away. Sometimes an hour, and some times all day. My wife's boss is very sympathetic to her problem, because her brother has the same syndrome and had to retire, because his symptoms are almost constant. Good luck to all with this problem. It's nothing to take too lightly. Falcon
  23. Just looked at Weather.com. Looks like some really bad weather (high winds, rain and snow) for the next couple days. I hope everybody stays safe. Falcon
  24. It's possible they will lose, however I can name 63 other teams that are not playing on April 6, 2009. Falcon
