  1. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Falcon
  2. Since I don't fish tourneys anymore, I just enjoy when those smallies jump. My wife is disappointed if they don't jump. She acts like an olympic judge and grades their jump. Falcon

Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Stick around here and ask questions and soon you'll have a PHD in bass fishing. Falcon
  5. Brent has a baby bass Trick Stick that works well for me. He also has the watermelonseed/pearl laminate that kicks butt here on St. Clair. Falcon
  6. I've had a couple #6 for months, but ice has prevented me from trying them. Falcon
  7. Yesterday's "Hook n Look" show was about the Rage Tail Shad. Kim Stricker had a rep from Strike King, they fished them like a buzzbait, just like Big-O said. Falcon
  8. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. You're from Nor Cal and you don't throw big swimbaits? Just kidding. If you like to throw jigs, you are using the "Big Fish" bait. Just keep trying, it should happen. Maybe some bulkier trailers. Falcon

  11. You mean those answers aren't correct? Falcon
  12. I was surprised to see how much the fish could see from under the lilly pads. Very interesting stuff. Kim Stricker's videos are very educational. Falcon
  13. I have to agree with the others, if you're catching fish why change? You are fishing with a jig, and that's usually a big fish bait, i'd say be patient and keep on doing what you are doing. Falcon P.S. being stuck here in Michigan, I might sell my soul for a few two pounders.LOL
  14. I have both reels, and I prefer the Record. The record has a 6.3:1 gear ratio. 30 IPT retrieve rate. The C3 has 5.2:1 gear ratio 25 IPT retrieve rate. In my opinion, the Record is worth the extra money. Both reels are bullet proof. Falcon

  16. For me it's X-Raps and Husky jerks. Very productive lures. Falcon
  17. First, welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Second, my favorite old lure is still a pretty popular and productive lure. The Rapala Shad Rap. I've caught fish with them for over twenty years and still going strong. Falcon
  18. I've caught a few in dirty water, however, most of my success has been in clear to stained water. Falcon
  19. I voted BPS because they always have what I want. I would go to the local shop that's less than a mile from my house, but he is a jerk. I've asked him to order things for me and he says it's too much trouble to order small amounts. Falcon
  20. Hey Sal, hold off buying yours. When the ice melts I'll have you over my house and you can try mine first hand. I decided to get mine when the BPS Classic starts. The drive from Troy to Chesterfield Twp. isn't too far. Falcon
  21. Cabin fever is killing me. I clean my reels and organize my tackle, but this winter it seems worse than ever. Worse yet, every time I look out my front window, I see this frozen tundra called Lake St. Clair. I look out my back windows I see my frozen canal. Last year at this time, there was open water, this year there is at least two feet of ice. I think it's going to be a long time before I take any casts. Falcon
  22. Thanks for your response strick9. I have always been an Abu garcia owner. I love my Revos and Records. After seeing the TD-Pro in the BPS catalog I thought I'd take a look at another brand. I heard a guy refer to the TD-Pro as the "Other Steez". I'm going to the BPS classic and check it out, and if it looks and feels as good as it looks I'll probably buy one. Falcon
  23. KVD Skeet Reese Timmy Horton Ish Monroe Greg Hackney Falcon
  24. Avid beat me to it. I'd ask, when all else fails, what bait do you go to? Falcon
  25. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Falcon
