  1. Yeah, that's about what I need.
  2. I want some NVGs!
  3. But zona says it works! We must be doing it wrong!
  4. Absolutely Its not hard at all. I do it from the sitting position. You may not get the same distance as standing but when your in a kayak you can get closer to your prey.
  5. Rapala obviously has a problem. I own six of them and have yet to have one crack. But, knowing that the problem exists, I think a company with a history like Rapala will address the issue. In the mean time, the guys with the defective ones are screwed.
  6. That's what I'm using also...
  7. I have the same irritating problem. Figured it was just me.
  8. Geez, that is strange. I thought it was just caused by an injury but it may be a condition or some kind of genetic problem disorder. I think Turtle135 got it right. Lordosis
  9. After catching a treble in my ring finger and watching the video of the guy with a treble in his upper lip I have pinched all the barbs on my treble hooks. I fish alone from a kayak and I would hate to cut a trip short over a stupid accident.
  10. I'd buy that!
  11. What part of Illinois are you in?
  12. I would have never guessed...customers. I've since caught a second even bigger one. It's just disappointing when I think I've caught a trophy bass. Maybe If I target them, I'll get a trophy bass.
  13. Yep, I got the gear. I'm hoping I can get back where the big girls hide. I know my bud got a 7.5 lb er. I've been consistently catching 3-4 lb ers and I know there has to be more biggens in there.
  14. So the outside pockets and points are best? Agreed?
  15. I'm current fishing a 235 acre reservoir, 1/3 of which is covered with lily pads. I know someone that has been successful flipping the edges. Since I'm in a kayak, I can get deep into the pads where no one else has been. So, knowing that the edges of lily pads usually mark deeper waters, should I stay on the edges or venture deep into the pads?
  16. The warden may have thought it was stolen gear some kid was trying to hide.
  17. As my wife (the doctor in the family) says "never have surgery unless you can't live without it". Sounds like you can't live without it!
  18. We're not talking about bullies! We're talking about someone that can legally kill you. Not knowing the whole circumstance, it's best not to become an "unfortunate hunting accident" over a stupid fishing pole. Besides, if you don't have adequate evidence, you may find yourself under constant harassment by his fellow law enforcement agencies. All over a fishing pole? I don't think so. Some people can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk.
  19. I've got a c-tug and I don't like it. The kick stand is always falling over, the straps slip off. I think it is best to find the cart that best fits your yak. Unfortunately you don't get to try out different models like you do with yaks. It may be trial and error. As with me I made an expensive error. Seek out owners of your type of yak and see what works for them.
  20. A rogue warden would be difficult to deal with. They have a lot more power than people suspect. I would let it go.
  21. Kids! My son is the worst to wrestle with. I am guaranteed to get hurt. He will kick me, knee me, head butt me, something and it's always an "accident ".
  22. Yeah, it's hard to try new baits when your already catching fish.
  23. I'm with ya. I've got a plano full of them and I never use them. I'm always too busy trying to catch fish on my confidence baits.
  24. Post some pics when you get it rigged up.
  25. I dream of that.
