  1. Is the hook big enough for the bait you are using? 5/0 flipping hook @ least 4/0. And snelled.
  2. Lews KVD series. The specs are exactly what you are looking for. I have one and like it and the price point.
  3. What power rod are you using? Regardless, braided line would help.

  10. A "pattern" is the exact set of water conditions such as depth, cover, structure, temperature, clarity, currents, etc., which have produced bass at similar locations all over the same body of water. It was first defined by the legendary Roland Martin in 1969.

3 weeks ago I fished a club TNT. and my boater's best 5 was 18lbs while I had 4 squeelers for about 6lbs, we both were throwing 3/8 white chatterbaits with white trailers but the trailers were different. After the event he explained the trailers were the key and to buy myself some of what he had and he swore by them. I purchased two bags of them for upcoming trips. So yesterday I was able to get out with a friend, and fish the same lake. We both threw chatterbaits most of the day, white in color with white trailer. For whatever reason, fishing from the back of his boat my best 5 were 21 lbs and his were 7 lbs. Once again our trailers were completely different. Would have never imagined a trailer making that big of difference but it did. Coincidence? Maybe, However they are now a staple on my chatterbaits. Lets see who can I.D this trailer from the pics?

  18. A confrontation on the water that happened March 18, 2023 near Camden, Alabama between a homeowner and anglers fishing in the Fisher’s of Men bass fishing tournament on Millers Ferry went viral. And on Monday April 10, the homeowner Ronald Morgan, 66, was charged with interfering with hunting or fishing per section 9-11-270 as well as menacing. Morgan pulled a gun on the anglers and told them to “go somewhere else” when he didn’t like them being near his dock on the public waters in a separate boat. These confrontations are becoming more of a common occurrence because homeowners incorrectly believe that if they place a dock on a public waterway next to their house they suddenly own the public water that is beneath it and surrounding it. That, however, is not the case. While some areas can be deemed off limits for safety reasons, for example around marina gas pumps, most areas of public waters in and around docks are still publicly permissible.
  19. Cut from the lure. Always wear glasses even it they are clear safety glasses. I even wear glasses when running, ever been hit in the face with a beetle @ 45 MPH or faster?
