Just so you all know, this will be only my third year of bass fishing, so bear with me while I pick your brains apart.

Saturday: Everyone is on their own, but there will be at least a half dozen of us who may want to attend Ghoti and Mary's wine and cheese party. BYO wine. Sunday: 4:00PM is check-in time. Glenn and Keri (and a few of us who have nothing better to do) will be the Official Greeters in the lobby of the Lodge. There will be a bag of goodies for each attendee. You are on your own for dinner. Some of us will be having dinner in the Lodge restaurant about 6:00. You are welcome to join us, but you pay for you own meal. Monday and Tuesday get-togethers will be held in the Bay View Building. Meals will be served at 6:30. Soft drinks will be provided, but it's BYOB otherwise. On Monday night, Roadwarrior will be serving his Nationally Award Winning cheeseburgers, with cheese supplied by none other than firefighn15: direct from Wisconsin to your palette. On Tuesday night, Speedbead will be cooking his universally acclaimed Chicken a la Wayne. He promises that very little road-kill will be used. Let's not forget that RW and Speedbead have dug deeply into their own pockets to feed fifty people. A donation from you is not required, but if you are able to drop say $5 into the "Alms for the Chefs" box, it would go a long way toward helping them recoup some of what they have laid out. The Wednesday banquet will be held at the Lodge. This is a very special occasion, so I encourage everyone to wear a coat and tie. I'll be wearing a pair of cut-off jeans and a sleeveless undershirt with "Rednecks Rule" printed on the back. Thursday, you are on your own for dinner.

Saturday: Seven inches of snow. Sunday: Bluebird skies. Highs in the 60's. Today: Thirty-five mph winds from the South, gusting to near fifty, then dropping to a breeze by nightfall. Tonight: Wind building to sixty mph, followed by a torrent of dime-sized hail, followed by torrential rains. It was all over in thirty minutes. Now: Light rain.

Right on Greg! Getting up VERY early, and making a nine hour drive, just to be early enough to accommodate a couple of AWOLs who desperately want to go fishing is not on my list of fun things to do. Bassinsergeant has offered his Weber to us. I will be bringing one also, so that gives us what we need. The dinners on Monday and Tuesday evenings will be held at 6:30 in the Bay View building. It's located somewhere in the park, but I don't know its exact location.

Burley, just to rub it in, I'll be packing a small fridge. Bought it at Walmart for $89. No, you may not share it with me.

Burley, the lodge rooms have nothing more than a small coffee pot. Plan accordingly. As for your shovel, you know where you can shove it.

Another subject. Are any of you guys able to bring a charcoal BBQ pit to the outing? On Monday, Kent will be cooking burgers for us all, but the park has no pits anywhere near our watering hole. So far, we have only one small pit available. We need at least two pits, about the size of your standard Weber grill. Can anyone help out?

Seven inches in Tulsa today. I Hate the stuff. Luckily, it's Spring. Most of it will have melted by tomorrow afternoon.

It looks to me as if you need to buy the H2Oc. One of the great, and less understood features about it is that it is great for land navigation as well. I can't speak for the Navionics chip, but with a FHS chip installed I can plan and navigate a route down to the exact address. Believe it or not, it's better than the Garmin Nuvi units when you start getting into out-of the-way places, such as National Parks.

I'll be doing the sides and back only. I'm not about to start painting an acid solution (mild or not) on the hull of my boat while lying on my back. Besides, the fish aren't really into eye candy. After reading Catt's post, I'll be trying some WD-40 as well.

10# braid? I suppose you have a reason for spending the extra money on it, but it's beyond me. Try KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. Spray in on the spool until the line is saturated. Wait 48 hours before you use it. I believe you will see a major improvement.
