  1. Second request, you old fart. Add WMD in Kentucky to the list.
  2. OK, based on the responses (15), or lack thereof, we are going to cook thirty burgers. Those of you who have not bothered to respond that you will be attending, plan on eating elsewhere and missing the presentation from Big-O. Otherwise get off your arse and vote that you will attend. This statement is meant to include all mods, road trip coordinators, and uh, Glenn and Keri.
  3. Are you referring to the tilt/trim switch that mounts to the steering column? If so, it would be a lot easier to disconnect the wiring at the throttle and splice in from there. If you are not comfortable doing that, then using the bow wiring will be fine.
  4. About 7:00 CDT. 1900 Hrs.
  5. I voted "I don't know ..." Add WMD in Kentucky to the list.
  6. Because you will not be importing data, you may want to consider Navionics HotMaps instead of Navplanner. It costs only about $20.00 and has all the lakes that Navplanner does. Its drawback is that you get only one high definition (one foot contours) map with the purchase. Others will cost you $15.00 each.
  7. ctf58, PM sent. Call me at that number if/when you will make it.
  8. Note to self. Find Jensen's reels and fill them with sand.
  9. Sorry Pal, it's waaay too late for you! As for me, I still have my youthful beauty, but my personality REALLY sucks.
  10. Just wanted to let everyone know that it looks as if we are going to have at least eighteen boats making the trip. There are thirteen empty seats available for you non-boaters. Four of the boats with empty seats can accommodate three fisher people (I'm trying to be politically correct here.) Based on the Registration Forms, only eight folks have stated that a seat was needed. It appears that no one will be fishing from the bank this year. On a side note, would those of you who are arriving early and are planning on attending Ghoti & Mary's Wine and munchie party on Saturday evening please PM me? I'm trying to get a head-count on this one also. And finally, we will be holding our group get-togethers on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights in the meeting room at Moor's. Those are the evenings we will have speakers.
  11. Like FishinDaddy said, it makes no difference whatsoever. A light bulb doesn't care which way you wire it.
  12. Hey folks, I want to remind you once again to go to the poll in the Everything Else forum and post your vote on whether or not you will be joining us for burgers on Monday night. Big-O will be giving us a little talk on the art of structure fishing. Based on his ability to put people on BIG fish, it should be very informative and entertaining. We have a couple of other speakers lined up also. Details to be posted later.
  13. Hey Pal, I happen to know the owner of this board. He has given me special dispensation to bump in matters of importance to the members. Hamburgers are important. 8-)
  14. Think of your TM as a pivot point. When you hit the spot lock button the GPS built into the head of the TM will sense its position within one second of you hitting the button and will do what ever is necessary to keep the TM at that location. For example, the TM may turn 180 degrees to back itself to its latest spot lock position. The iPilot does not control the boat, it controls the TM only. It will keep the TM within a five foot radius of when you last hit the spot lock button. Obviously, the boat is tied to the TM, so the wind or current will cause the boat to pivot around the TM's location into a bow upwind or a bow up-current position, depending on which is stronger. I hope this helps.
  15. Bump Back to Top
  16. I'm trying to get a handle on how many burgers we need to cook on Monday night. Road Trip attendees only, please.
  17. I need to know how many folks will be attending the Monday night burger cook-out. Since I am apparently unable to start a poll within an ongoing thread, please go to the Everything Else board and respond to my poll. Thanks
  18. We are looking for a few speakers during the evening get-to-gathers. If any of you attendees would like to stand on the podium for five minutes or so and talk about fishing related issues, then please PM me with your subject matter. Who knows? You may become a Hollywood star!
  19. On average, the main channel of the lake is about a mile and a half wide. You do want to be in the channel if the wind is blowing from the South at twenty plus. AS CWB said, the lake is about 200 hundred miles long, so the waves have ample opportunity to build up into downright dangerous conditions. Hopefully, some of you KY locals will chime in here.
  20. The 80's vintage Mercs had a problem with the oil injection, resulting in blown heads. These days there seem to be no problems with the oil injection system, but many of the old-schoolers still insist on mixing their own oil and disabling the injection system.
  21. Here is a list of those who have sent in their Registration Forms as of today. 23. As Burley said, it's difficult to couple if your balls are dry. Make sure to use a good lubricant.
