Ipilot
I forgot to mention that I have a Lowrance HDS-8 with side-scan mounted on the console. The transducers are mounted on the stern Using the iPilot, I can put the Terrova in the water at the bow and steer the boat while sitting at the console and watching the side-scan. It just doesn't get any better than that!

Rod Wraps/covers. Opinions?
I have been using Stik Jackets, but when a hook gets caught in the mesh it can be a royal pain to remove. I'm going to order a couple of the Cabella,s sleeves to see how I like them.

How Do You Cover Your Boat When Tied To A Dock?
Food for thought: How much does a gallon milk jug, filled with water, weigh when it is immersed in water, and weighed on an under-water scale?

Finding Out Lake Topography
At the risk of ridicule, contour maps of the earth below the water's surface are called bathymetric maps. However, everyone calls them topos. Don't kill the messenger.

Marine Tex
It will take a bit longer to cure. I wouldn't worry about it. Give it an extra day before you start to work with ir.

First Time Tracker Buyer Here
The boat looks as if it has been well maintained. The carpet and upholstery seem to be in good shape. As said above, have a compression test done on the motor. If it passes the test, then you indeed have a bargain.

Unplugging Led Trailer Lights
The older incandescent bulbs are encased in glass and are very hot to the touch. When they come in contact with the colder water they often crack due to the temperature differential. On the other hand, LEDs do not burn hot and are completely enclosed in plastic. There is no appreciable temperature differential, so there is no risk in cracking. In other words, there is no need to unplug your LED trailer lights.

You're Invited to the 6th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
Well, I suppose I win the award for the most consistently senile. After fishing with Steezy, Ghoti & Mary, RW, and CWB during the week, I must confess that I put very few fish in the boat. My co-anglers fared much better. I would like to blame my lack of success on the winds and fighting the trolling motor, but that's a poor excuse. Suffice it to say that they caught and I didn't. On Thursday I had the opportunity of fishing with the Royal Couple, i.e. Glenn and Keri. I admit that I had a few reservations about having them on my boat, because I wasn't sure if I had enough storage capacity for their crowns, scepters and regalia. Oddly enough, they both chose to go the covert route and showed up dressed as ordinary fishermen, er, people. It took a couple of hours to convince them that I simply could not accommodate the four hundred rods and two poodles that they wished to bring aboard, but after that, everything was smooth sailing. Because of the strong Easterly winds, I chose to stay out of the main lake, so took my famous couple on a daring one minute boat ride to the bay directly south of the resort. We stayed there all day and caught about twenty-five bass. Now, this is where the senility part comes in. I'm sure I was nervous, because I was hosting royalty, but I chose to fish with a spinning rig, and on no less than seven occasions did I forget to open the bail prior to my cast. Luckily, I was the only one who noticed my fauxs pas, other than my guests, and they have promised to never let me live it down. BTW, what's the plural of faux pas? Fauxs pas? BS aside, the most enjoyable day I had on the trip was fishing with Glenn and Keri. Where we were, the winds were calm, the fish were biting, and the laughter was was so prolific that I had to turn on the bilge pump. I can't wait till next year!

Trolling Motor Troubles
Geez! What we have here is a paragraph with zero capitalization, zero punctuation, lazy and incorrect spelling, AND, the wrong recommendation. Never replace the manufacturer's recommended fuse rating with a larger one. You will void your warranty and will probably damage your equipment.

Lowrance Hds Powering Issue
I've been thinking about this for the last couple of days. If your connections to the battery are pristine, then I would check the fuses. their contacts my be corroded.
