  1. I was successful posting on my local Craig's list under the Fishing and Boating sections. Be specific about yourself, your boat, and the type of individual you are looking for. Stay away from the Personals sections. Too many weirdos on those boards.
  2. RW, you are one sick individual.
  3. Regarding Lake Falcon, according to the locals who live there, there is no danger as long as you stay well inside the border.
  4. You can expect that type of humor from Ghoti. He died three years ago.
  5. Make sure you install the bulb with the proper orientation. Most bulbs will have an arrow on them. The bulb should be installed in the fuel line with the arrow pointing toward the motor.
  6. Do a search on this site and you will find tons of information. Good luck. It's not a job for sissies.
  7. A word to the wise. NEVER VOLUNTEER! I volunteered to be a Moderator. Glenn now has me working sixteen-hour days at no pay. All he has promised is that someday he will send me a T-shirt and a ball cap. Would I lie?
  8. I seldom use an anchor anymore, because I now have the MK iPilot with Spot Lock. When I do use an anchor I use the one shown in the following link. It holds well in both rocks and mud. http://www.academy.c...anchors&Ntk=All
  9. Back in the fifties, one of the kids down the block had the Cadillac of Schwinns. The front forks were spring loaded, as was the seat. Man, how I envied that guy. My parents bought my bike at a police auction. I thought it was a great bike, but not near the quality of that Schwinn.
  10. Hmmm, what we have here is a failure to communicate. We have here a young man who doesn't like Zach Brown, and is asking us to kill him. So, how do we kill him?
  11. I would suggest that you drop out of school for the time being, move to Colorado, and live off the land, hunting and trapping. In the winter you can become a ski bum, living off the proceeds of your hunting and trapping ventures while cultivating a little "herb" for medicinal use. Talk about a Rocky Mountain high! On the other hand, you could get your head out of your arse and finish up with your studies.
  12. Steve, it's our current government's way of telling you that they want you to go fishing with an aluminum pole. One less guy on Medicare, helping to balance the budget.
  13. Ken, have you been taking your "problem" in hand again? My new Lowrance SI gear really turns me on, but not THAT much.
  14. Congratulations to both of you.
  15. At times like this I am reminded of a quote from the movie The Hunt For Red October. The commander of the Russian submarine, Captain Ramius, said "A little revolution is a good thing now and then. Don't you think?"
  16. While it would be very nice to have a boat at your age, I would recommend that you use your savings for your college education, or at the very least, for your first car. Chicks don't dig boats.
  17. Personally, I am very worried about where our country is heading in the long term. Fully 60% of the US budget is spent on Entitlements. e.g. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, and a host of other programs. When initially put into place, these programs were meant to be self-funding by tax paying citizens. Well, they are no longer self-funding and our government is now taking up the slack. The post WWII Baby Boom was not foreseen, nor was the modern era aging of a large portion of our population, nor was there foreseen a huge influx of illegal aliens who abuse their so-called "entitlements," nor was there foreseen an entire minority of our people who simply refuse to work and yet demand their "entitlements." Before I go any further, I want everyone to know that I just turned sixty-five and am taking advantage of the Social Security and Medicare "entitlements" that I've paid into my entire working life. I'm now getting medical treatment for several issues that should have been addressed several years ago, but I simply couldn't afford a $2000 a month insurance policy as a self-employed individual. Obviously, I am not willing to forfeit my "entitlements," because I've earned them and I’ve paid for them. Unfortunately, there are many, many others who have neither earned them nor paid for them. Therein lies one of our nation’s largest problems, and our elected officials refuse to address it in a proper manner. What scares me the most is the fact that the nation is continuing to raise it’s debt ceiling without making very drastic cuts to its spending (does the word “entitlements” come to mind?) or by raising the taxes on its citizens. Raising the dept ceiling simply means that the nation can borrow more money to pay its debts, which means that the nation continues to owe more and more to its creditors. (It will probably come as no surprise that China is our largest creditor.) So, to pay its bills the country simply prints more money. After all, paper is cheap. And what happens when the country prints more money? Its value becomes watered down. Here comes inflation on a Global scale. Unless our politicians get off their collective ***** and make the hard decisions that need to be made, (and which many tax payers will not like,) there will come a time when US currency will no longer be the standard by which the world economy is based. The end result will be catastrophic for our country.
  18. www.atlanticmapping.com They have some of the best topo maps out there.
  19. Fat-G. Do I hear the voice of experience speaking?
  20. Fat-G you have made the correct and most logical decision. No one mentioned the Honeys that you may want to entertain, and the potential cost of doing so Throw that item into your data base as well.
  21. Unless the guy up front is a total arse, he will position the boat such that the guy in the rear has an equal opportunity to catch bass. I will often pass up a likely looking spot to give my back-seater a chance at a good bite.
  22. John, aren't those parts off your motocycle?
  23. ATTA GIRL, DEB !!!
  24. I like it, but if it had a photo of me it would be a real winner.
  25. I send my reels to Roadwarrior for re-spooling. He charges me only $100 a reel if I supply the line. He's a saint and is very fair with his prices. Don't you think?
