  1. I'm proud to announce that 00 mod is the first person to submit his Registration Form. Attaboy, Jeff!
  2. I not saying it's not possible for the two (potentially) best teams in the nation to reside in the same division. I'm saying that LSU is the conference champ. They beat Bama, but Bama has not had a rigorous schedule as some of the other conferences - the Big Twelve, for example. Don't get me wrong on this. I grew up in Louisiana and am an avid LSU fan. I now reside in Oklahoma and my wife is an OSU Alum. So I cheer for both LSU and OSU. It's my opinion that LSU and OSU are the best teams in the nation, and if they played against each other I confess that I would cheer for whoever won. Since I am in the Christmas decorating spirit, I want to tell Bama to go flock themselves.
  3. It's just a crying shame that the Big Twelve Champions (OSU) aren't going to be able to vie for the National Championship with LSU. I HATE the BCS selection process. Why can't there be a play-off between each of the Conference Champions?
  4. Lame. Christmas music gets shoved down your throat these days, from every direction you turn. My preference is for a silent night. Yeah, I know, Bah! Humbug!
  5. I had a problem yesterday on my i-phone, so I called my grandson, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over. He clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. As he was walking away, I called after him, “So, what was wrong?” He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.” I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, “An ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.” He grinned, … “Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?” “No,” I replied. “Write it down,” he said, “and I think you'll figure it out.” So I wrote down: ID10T. I still love my grandson, the little brat.
  6. I'll bet when that thing rubs its rear legs together it sounds like a chainsaw.
  7. I want to offer a public "Thank You!" to Zip Pow for doing much of the leg work in selecting our Guntersville headquarters for 2012. Brandon, your assistance was invaluable.
  8. I'm retired. It's a twelve hour drive, plus round-trip fuel for my Suburban, plus fuel for the boat, plus hotel, plus food, plus the booze, plus the dancing girls. I will take out a second-mortgage on my house before I have to miss this trip. The annual BR trip Rocks!
  9. I was sitting in a bar with Ghoti the other day and happened to notice a couple of old drunks sitting across from us. I turned to Ghoti and said, "That's us in ten years." He replied, "That's a mirror, you idiot."
  10. Lee, historically we have always had more empty boat seats than butts to put in them. Don't worry about not having a boat. We try to move the non-boaters around so that they have a chance to fish with as many people as possible. Among other things, we use the Registration form to determine who has seats available and who needs them.
  11. The singular form of tortellini is tortellino. Capiche?
  12. I managed to get in touch with Catt's wife today. All is well. Their computer died. Catt is supposed to call me tonight.
  13. To paraphrase Tennessee Ernie Ford, if the the good Lord's willin' and the creek don't rise I'll be there, fo sho!
  14. Has anyone heard from Catt lately? I tried to call his cell, only to find out it's no longer a working number.
  15. I tried to call Catt today on his cell phone. The message I received is that the number is no longer a working number. This does not bode well. I'm going to do some more searching.
  16. I have Catt's phone number. I'll give him a call tomorrow afternoon to make sure he's OK.
  17. You can help to minimize interference by coiling the excess wire between the 'ducer and the head unit into a figure 8 and then folding the two loops together.
  18. I have an aluminum 2003 Tracker TV-18. It has a modified deep-Vee hull, so will handle rough water very well. It has a Merc 150 hanging off the back that will push the boat at fifty plus, which is about as fast as I want to go. In addition, it has more than ample storage for rods and tackle, plus it has a huge deck. I can easily fish three people out of it. It's a shame that Tracker discontinued the TV-18 last year. In my opinion, it's the best boat that Tracker ever made.
  19. If it's not a large amount just pour it into the gas tank of your car/truck. It will mingle with the rest of the fuel and cause no problems.
  20. Have you ever wondered why, that no matter how much a lake level rises or falls, the water always reaches the shore?
  21. My fearless prediction for the BCS championship game. OSU 41, LSU 17 ... but I could be wrong.
  22. While it thrills me to no end to learn that the Classic will be held in my back yard, I have to wonder about the wisdom of choosing this locale in February. The weather that time of year can be wonderful or horrendous, with the majority of the time it being just downright lousy. It runs the gamut from a nice day to rain, to sleet, to freezing rain, to snow, to temperatures below zero. I've seen the temperature drop sixty degrees in one eight-hour period. Regardless, I've got four-wheel drive and I will be there.
  23. Startron, every time, all the time.
  24. Wow, I'm glad you guys brought this up. I thought it was my stereo and I kept trying to adjust it. Now I know why I failed.
  25. Not yet Kent, we still have twenty minutes without him. If you could watch Taylor Swift, you could watch Richie ... and wait for the the more talented offerings.
