  1. Pretty much any top water. I also enjoy swimming a jig or spinner bait around wood
  2. Your welcome man. You were hard to buy for. Didn't want to get a bunch of stuff you already had and reading your post you have tried about everything lol.
  3. Hard to say just one so I won't. Rage craw Twin tail menace Cut'r worm If I had to pick just one color it would be green pumpkin red flake
  4. I get that and maybe I'm just cheap but a strip of rubber or whatever material it is made of and some 3m tape just doesn't seem to be worth a $120-140. $88 is a little better
  5. Anyone make their own keel guard? If so how did you do it and what did you use? Would like to put one on my boat but I can't see paying over a hundred bucks for em.
  6. Dropshot for me too but hope to change that. Also never fished a soft plastic frog only hollow bodies.
  7. I have 4 of them. Bought one at reguler price $99. One for $89 on sale and earlier this year got two for $79. All online but they run more sales in store if you have one close by.(I don't)
  8. That's cool. Pro qualifier is a great real for the price, especially when its on sale
  9. Don't forget @slonezp he got one too not long ago lol
  10. ive got a couple GP weights that were on sale other than that I prefer to use black. No particular reason other than I think it looks better, probably doesn't make a difference
  11. I appreciate all the advice and Im going to fish in a local club next year. I'm Guna go ahead and just fish in my boat since I feel I do better by myself and I look forward to the added challenge and sport of tourney fishing. I've met a few guys actually just by accident at the ramp and they seem very friendly. Once I fish a couple who knows might get asked to ride with someone for an event on some of the waters I'm not familiar with.
  12. Finesse worm I suppose but normally its not the bait that needs changed its the speed of my presentation.
  13. Well if I ever get to fish the bend im putting in on housen! What's the deal with Zwolle and beach bay surely theres some bass in those creeks?
  14. Like road warrior. Around here birds normally mean hybrid striped bass. And a big 5 or 6in flutter spoon is the ticket.
  15. Well that seems to have fixed it. I feel like one of my customers who brings a truck into the shop and I show them its something stupid simple. Thanks mike Mind explaining a little about what was happening?
  16. What weight are the shaky heads and the one chatterbait? 1/4 and 3/8?
  17. Guess I should add a Congratulations to my Thank you
  18. That's him, makes sense now as well. The jigs are home made and I remember seeing him post them before. Thanks again @Bluebasser86
  19. Im still curious who sent mine. anybody know a Clayton on here?
  20. Could be but probably just lure direction more than sun direction. Fish might have been facing a certain way and on the way back you put it in front of there faces. 39 degrees is pretty dang cold so fish probably not moving around much
  21. I'm remember you telling this story but when I read it I thought you were saying that the other guy worked the jig too fast and that's how you got the bites he should have. Do you think color had more to do with it?
  22. So I decided to do a deep cleaning on my baitcasters for the first time. I started with a BPS pro qualifier. Everything went pretty smoothly and got the reel back together. It is functional and cast better than new, but I can feel some resistance while reeling in. Any ideas on what might be wrong? I know a lot of reels are different but any common things I could check? Thanks
  23. Its about as accurate as me asking your height and then guessing your weight based on the average of people that are the same height. I made be dead on or way off. Too me there is no substitute for a scale. I've caught 23" bass that weighed 4lbs. By his formula I should have a new PB
