Knot questions
You quoted my quote of the OP. I agree with you and only use Palomar for braid
-
Knot questions
nope, but I prefer palomar for braid as it is strong and super quick to tie. fluro gets double improved clinch

Caffeine shad
I've used both sizes but normally use 5/0. I haven't had any issues with hook ups on the 5 in, now the 7 in are massive and I've missed some bites. Most of the time they really choke these things for me.

pretty tough lake this past week, glad Ott, Poche made it through and Watson because he's hilarious. anybody else notice how often guys throw topwater all day in these events? this is very rare for me. did yall catch Watsons comment to his boat official while he was being warned about the dropping water level? "safety is of upmost importance for me. but going fast is more important" haha

Dumbness, can happen to the best of us.
Been there, well not 2 months in but still. It happens even to us mechanics. Always reminds me of the movie slingblade where Carl says "ain't got no gas in it" after a guy spent hours working on a lawn mower The other day at work I was replacing an oil pan gasket and when I was done I started refilling the oil. I put the normal amount in and checked the stick, no oil. I assume after sitting overnight the reserve oil had all drained out so I added more. Still nothing. I then assumed my oil gun wasnt reading right and just added more. Anyway 2 gallons later I remembered that I forgot to hook the oil dipstick tube back up and I wasnt checking anything. Truck had plenty of oil!!

Transducer Mounting
Think about how your boat will sit in the water vs. How it sits on trailer. My bet it it will sit a little lower

Tell me about swim jigs
I swim all my jigs. I throw "swim" jigs (pointed head) when I'm fishing around grass
-
Timber tiger
Its marketed and designed to come through timber, and the design looks like it would from the side fins to the way the trebles lay. My plan has been to throw it in some nasty stiff and if it works great and if I lose it then oh well it was cheap
-
Timber tiger
I own one but have yet to throw it. I've been meaning to throw it around some big laydowns to test but haven't yet, its ugly

Go to bait

Has a bass ever taken away your rod and reel?
