  1. Here is mine Here is PIGSTICKERS picture since he doesn't know how to post it up. First good fish out of a local dinkfactory.
  2. No I don't use that Gulp garbage. Stuff does nothing make a mess and tick me off. I fished with a guy once who acctually had a gallon plastic fishtank in his boat he put all his Gulp in. I'm all set with that... ;D Thanks for clearin that up. That stuff is just to messy to handle.
  3. Tin, Do you use the Berkley shakey worms that get all hard if you leave them out? I used to use those type of power worms and the fish just LOVED them. They sure were nasty to handle though. I might have to give those another try.
  4. My favorite thing to throw on a shakey head is a trick worm. Usually I throw a full sized one, but I throw the finese ones as well. Other times, I have thrown a flappin hawg 2 by gary yamamoto on a shakey head and just crushed fish. Regular ribbon tail worms ain't to bad either.
  5. I've broken both wrists rollerblading, REALLY messed up my shins, and was knocked out with a concussion once. All from skating. The thing I'm most scared of is breaking my femur wakeboarding though. It's a pretty regular thing to break wakeboarding.
  6. 20 lb vanish transition is my favorite. I started throwing jigs with braid, then switched to mono and started catching fish. More of a confidence thing for me
  7. Change up the color. I've heard the same thing about crankbaits, if they're swiping at your bait, they don't like the color.
  8. Cell phone camera
  9. Hmmm....They work for me and my friend Steve. I don't know what to tell ya :-?
  10. Fished the potomac today from 7-3 with my brother and Steve (pigsticker). Such a nice morning to be out on the water, overcast and hazy. We started off throwing topwater on grassbeds at teddy roosevelt island but no takers. We switched to weightless plastics and my brother nailed a small one to start. Steve then hooked up with a nice keeper and we realized he snagged it ;D After those two quick catches, we circled the grass mat and got nothin, so we moved down the bank to another grass mat. I pitched my senko up to a grass patch/laydown and pulled out a solid 3.9lber. These fish were caught shallow from 1-3.5 feet. Moved under one of the bridges at teddy roosevelt and ace wacked 2 more nice keepers, and I caught 2 on lipless cranks on the edge of a grassline. Then we moved up to war college wall and Steve caught a good smallmouth. Funny thing is, he caught it on a 5/0 swimbait hook with a texas rigged rage tail craw in black/blue (brian reeves style). We hit some docks and weren't getting bit so we moved up to blue plains. After our 20 minute run up there, I caught 2 on dropshots one being a 2.5lber, and one on a jig right in front of two tourney guys that moved up to fish it with us ;D. Those who know the area, we weren't fishing under the dock at the time, but fishing the deep ledge. Soon after, we moved onto the dock, and I caught another small one on a jig and see another bass boat moving in on the ledge. We move back out there and let them have it. It just so happened to be Rob Grike, who fishes the Fountainhead Tournaments with us ;D He saw us and said "You boys lost!??!?!" too funny. Anyway, ended the day with 15, biggest being 3.9 and 5 fish for 11.5 lbs. Such a fun day, sorry for the long post. Matt Strykul. Ace- Steve- Me with my 3.9lb fish- Steve and his smallmouth-
  11. This technique is awesome and it works every time. The only difficult part SOMETIMES is getting the shank through the fishes gills
  12. I know exactly who you are now ;D. I completely understand you not giving me spots, thats just stealing thats not learning how to fish. We will get our win when we get it. Of course we try every tournament to win but we aren't killing ourselves over it. I know there are guys that fish those tournaments that are amazing. I am definetly up for some fishing when you get back. I'm just glad that a lot of you guys respect us as a team and don't just think we're jokes. We fish hard and even if we don't catch them we will always be there the next week. Hey I'm gonna PM you about something from last tournament....just givin you a heads up.
  13. Chartruese shad and when it's muddy I throw the Aurora Gold. Both are really effective. ;)Only 2 colors I throw. I have heard that Nashiki by LC or Clown by Rapala work well in muddy water as well. Both the same color just different name. I'll give it a shot this winter.
  14. Oh yeah I overheard Mr. Sparks talkin about your powerhead!! He was sayin "Lil jons powerhead blew again.." I wasn't sure who he was talking about. I know your last name, but I don't know who you are exactly. Have we talked before? Are you sittin there in the morning with Mike and Dan?
  15. Quanjig who are you exactly? I'd love to do some fishin.
  16. And Steve, the gaston tourney is on the 5th of october
  17. Rob I'm going to hold you to that!!!!!!!. ;D At one point this year, we were in 20th place, and we didn't fish 3 tournaments, maybe even 4 this year....They take the top 15, and the 16th and 17th place that have fished every tournament. I just have to get better, and weigh EVERY fish that we catch. We had tournaments where we only caught 2-3 fish and didn't weigh. I don't know the guys' name who won it. Dillinger/ Keller got 2nd though.
  18. What a day. : One lousy keeper, and the rest dinks. So much for gettin a limit. Cool thing was that first place was a 5 fish bag, and it's 6 fish for limit. He had 19 lbs and a 6lb kicker. Second place had 18 something, with a six pounder as well. Both of them were doing the same thing, fishin the channel edge. Crank, c-rigs, and probably jigs. We went by both teams a couple of times, second place was sitting in one spot all day on the channel edge, wehave seen him there previous tournaments as well. My goal is to be more consistant and make the classic next year.
  19. I mean our trolling motor was fine, so fishing was easy it was just getting from point A to point B.........then BACK to point A ;D Thanks for the good luck I really hope we do well.
  20. Went out today to prefish, caught 6, 3 keepers, two that were 13 1/4 and one more that was a dink. Great day, except the hub on our prop slipped and we could not go above idle > luckily, found a prop thanks to my Dad. I must have called 15 stores that sold outboards/parts and NO ONE had a 9.9 yamaha prop. Dad found the only place in NOVA 8-) We fished from 630-12, but we FISHED from 630 to about 10 when our motor screwed up. One whole hour and then some of trollin back to fountainhead : Fish were shallow......jigs and trigs. Hope this holds up for tomorrow, want to finish the season out with atleast one 6 fish limit : We're kind of jokes ;D Absolutely beautiful day out there, though it was cold in the morning, it was so nice once the sun came out. Fish were bitin and it was a nice day out, what more could I ask for. I'll report on how we do tomorrow after the tournament.
  21. Is the trilene line you're using fluoro? Don't tie a palomar knot with fluorocarbon, it's only trouble. The sandiego jam has been my best friend lately (for fluoro)
  22. HAhahaha yes Steve, I'm still going to counseling for that fish I missed (aka those 4 fish) during that tournament. I still think about it too much!!!!!! Good work Slomoe. I'll be fishing there this weekend, I'll report back if I catch anything. ;D
  23. Only 2 colors I use are Black/Blue and Western Melon which is green pumpkin that Terminator just made fancier. ;D Terminators are my favorite. Trailers= GYCB flappin hog II's, Reaction innovation sweet beavers, and of course rage tail craws.
