That’s so awesome!!!! You’ve been busy!! If I ever find my way out there, I’m always traveling somewhere to fish, I’ll be sure to give you a call! I can’t go to the show I will be out plowing in the storm. I’m making money instead of spending it.

What’s Your Go-To Search Bait?
When I go and fish a spot new pond or one of my favorites. I likely know what the water clarity will be and the forage. I will have some idea of what to expect. I will also start with my confidence baits. A jig, texas rig, topwater, and swimbait. If it’s clear deep and sandy I’ll have a tube tied on and go more finesse.

What’s Your Go-To Search Bait?
A swimbait! A swimbait like a glide will draw out fish. They just come to investigate it even if they won’t bite. They can see it long distances. A glide bait has a ton of drawing power. When you find a school of fish or big fish. Sit in that area or come back to that area and catch em

Technique vs the amount of lures you have for that technique.
I have a 2 deep cranks and a handful of jerkbaits, handful of spinner baits and handful of cranks,(squarebill etc.) I own a ton of baits. But 99% of it is what i throw and what I’m good at. Like big swimbaits, topwaters, soft plastics and jigs.

They are fun! Last time I went was 2020. I lost the rod due to a closed bail. Fish hit and took the rod. I caught the rod an hour later with the fish still attached. So i caught the rod with my other setup, reeled in the fish on the rod I just lost

Freedom Chatterbait When, Where And How?
I bought a similar one by Zman. It’s a free swinging with a football head. So I plan on reeling this along rocks and other bottom types. I would think you could use this in similar way.

Mild winter temps
Thanks for the info guys! here’s the full report 5 bass, 10 pickerel, and a big golden shiner It’s been a grind the past 3 days. Friday, fished a new pond, 37 degree water, 3.5lb pickerel and a small bass on a tube quickly right when I got there. Saturday went for a Hail Mary. Trying to start the new year with a giant bass. Missed 3 pickerel at the first spot. They wouldn’t bite!!! 2nd spot, a new spot. I finally got fish! A 2lb bass and a 3.5 lb pickerel on a jerkbait at sunset. They were chasing bait up shallow. Water temps 41 Sunday. Fished another new spot, got lot of pickerel and a big pondie up shallow, water temps 38-43. Saw lot of surface activity. Got lot of hits on a few different baits, deps 175, Swaver, real prey, jerkbaits, imakastu stealth swimmer, square bills. With no bass to show, I decided to pack up, close to the ramp. I saw a few fish jump, took a cast, spooked a big school up really shallow. Last cast of the day got a 3.8 lb bass on a jerkbait. Then I decided to try for some topwater bass. Got 2 bass and missed 2. Slammer got it done! Super stoked!
