  1. That makes sense. Do they work well?
  2. Citica, I think the 20 extra dollars is justified in the quality of the it.
  3. I was wondering if yall have any tips or tricks for changing or installing split rings. I mean i know how they work but its just when i go to add split rings to poppers and changing out hooks, it seems like it always a hassle. The split rings never want to cooperate and it doesn't help that there is a really sharp hook not an inch from your fingers. Any input would be appreciated.
  4. I'd definitely say you got yourself a keeper.

  11. Drill, drill, drill. Drill moves over and over again so that they become second nature to you. On the mat you can't think, you just got to react and drilling moves will help you react better and quicker.

For spinnerbaits and crankbaits, i always buy a natural color (White or shad) for clear water and a bright color (Char. or parrot) for muddy or low light condition. For jigs and plastics, i buy a natural color (green pumpkin) for clear water and a dark color (black blue) for muddy or low light conditions. When im on the water i just match the color to the condition.
  19. Like ghoti said, the pros will take a crankbait that will normally run around 8 feet deep and put that with a heavy test mono, say 20lb. To get it to run shallower, like less then 4 feet. I heard somewhere that starting at 10lb mono, each lb test you go up you lose about a foot of running depths on crankbaits. Correct me if im wrong on this.
  20. WOW, another nice fish. Way to go!!
  21. I know in windy conditions they say the baitfish will be on the windy side of any type of structure. The wind blows the plankton, which the bait fish feed on. So the baitfish move to follow the plankton, and then bass move to follow the baitfish.
  22. I would like to make my own spinnerbaits, but the thing is i dont know where i would get the wire/head/hook. I could get blades, swivels, and skirts from BPS, but where can i find the rest i need?
