  1. You got good taste. I think I saw on another thread where your SN was C5lingenfelter, man those are sweet cars. Twin turbo putting out somewhere close to 800 HP. Awesome. And that Cobra is the SVT Cobra R, i think they top out at 186. Insane. Another car, I have a Motor Trend magazine with a twin turbo Viper in it, with 1100 HP!! Freakin Insane
  2. Yea lets see some pics, lambos are sweet. BPS Forum
  3. I have had good luck with the BPS Slim Dog and they are very inexpensive.
  4. I use the Norman Speed Clips on all lures with a split ring. But like boondocks said just have to watch the clip and make sure its in good shape and also you still have to check your line.
  5. With the spinnerbaits, jigs, and t-rigs I would use 17 or 20 lb, but thats a little heavy for the crankbaits (IMO). I would fish the crankbaits on the M rod and pair that with some 10 or 12 lb and this would also work good for weightless plastics. For brands I like Berkley Big Game and Silve Thread AN40.
  6. In my opinion only 2 colors matter. A natural color and a loud color. For example in crankbaits ill buy a shad or silver pattern and a parrot or char/blue pattern. Spinnerbaits , ill buy a baitfish color skirt and a char. skirt. Worms and jigs, something natural (brown or green) and something dark (black/blue).
  7. I plan on buying a couple Booyah 1/2 oz double willowleaf spinnerbaits, to use to match the bigger shad in the spring. My question is would i be able to slow roll that weight/blade combo, for the colder months? Usually I hear of people using 3/4 or 1 oz with only 1 willowleaf.
  8. Another thing about the casts, in general you can make less splash with a side arm cast. Just slow the spool and raise your rod tip right before your lure hits the water. Maybe not your biggest concern right now, but something to think about.
  9. Whats a good moderately priced digital scale? Any input appreciated
  10. Speaking of wind. I was out on a little pond near my house today, throwing a spinnerbait. But it wasnt what you call perfect spinnerbait weather, bluebird skys and no wind. Got Nothing, but as soon as a little wind came through and disrupted the surface, i caught one on the wind blown side. Wind died down again and nothing after that.
  11. Oh and i would have had pictures but we didnt realize the batteries were dead on my girlfriends camera. We got one of the 3lber on my camera phone so when i can get it off ill post it.
  12. Had a second Thanksgiving dinner planned for today, with my dads side of my family. Before the get together we thought we would get the family together and have a little fishing outing. So it was me, my girlfriend, my dad, my stepmom, my sister and her husband and their 2 little girls, my other sister and her 2 children and my grandpa. The kids were using worms and catching whatever would bite, I was throwing a spinnerbait. All the kids ended up catching some fish, mostly bluegill and crappie, and i caught 2 little LMBs. Then we decided to try another pond that was close to my grandpas house, since that was where dinner was going to be. One of my sisters and her children had other plans and couldnt join use. We get to the other pond and start fishing. One of my nieces ended up catching 7 little crappies and the other was too busy playing in the leaves to fish. And i ended up catching a chunky 3lber on the spinnerbait (which made me happy). Redardless of the fish caught, what meant the most to me was just seeing my nieces and nephew out there fishing, catching the first fish of their lives. Also that we had 4 generations out there fishing. It was really an awesome fishing outing, meant a lot to me.
  13. I have one of KVD's spinnerbait videos and in this video he mentions this exact thing, but he divides it like this: clear is anything past 18", 18" to 6" is stained and muddy is anything less then 6". To me this seemed awful shallow, i thought it was more around what Craw said. But hey im not the professsional. Not to jack a thread but what do yall think about those numbers?

  15. nboucher, thanks for that info. Like you said im sure when i finally get it i will be more then happy with it and wont need to upgrade for a while. ghoti, the JM Signature was one of the ones i was looking at also just forgot to list it, it looks like a very good deal at $120. When i decide to upgrade i am definitely going to look into it.
  16. It was bad weather in charlotte and if it was that bad at norman then it was miserable, it was miserable just walking outside. I cant even imagine fishing in it. Like SPEEDBEAD said your a trooper.
  17. Man those are some amazing fish. That would be a trip of a lifetime. Awesome job.
  18. Man i bet that was an awesome experience. I would have loved to hook into a sailfish my saltwater trip not too long ago, but no such luck. Congrats.
  19. Im getting the BPS Shimano Citica/Extreme combo, 6' 6" MH for Christmas. It is going to be my all purpose rod for a while. I was thinking that maybe around my birthday i would upgrade the rod to one in the 100 to 130 dollar range. My first question is would going from the Extreme ($70) to a rod around $125, be much of a difference, as far as sensitivity and weight. If yes, then i would like yalls opinion of some rods in that price range. I have a few picked out, Fenwick HMG, Kistler Graphite Plus, and Shimano Crucial. Any input on those choices would be appreciated and maybe give me a few more choices.
  20. Megabass Pop Max. Those things are awesome and the details are incredible, but at 22 bucks a pop probably won't have one any time soon.
  21. I dont know what your budget is but for 50 bucks you can get a Daiwa Procaster Tournament, i have one and for the money its a good combo. http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=44273&hvarDept=100&hvarEvent=&hvarClassCode=3&hvarSubCode=1&hvarTarget=browse
  22. Im with NYTEX, I use a char. twin tail grub on my muddy water spinnerbaits. But I dont put any trailer on my clear water spinnerbaits.
