  1. I dont know why but I really like to fish with willow leaf blades. Silver for clear water, combo for stained, and gold for muddy water. Now if the water is really muddy ill throw come colorados, but I only have about 2 or 3 spinnerbaits with colorado leafs and those are store bought.
  2. I am interested if anybody would like some spinnerbaits like the ones i posted on another thread. They arent 100% custom made, didnt pour the lead heads, I hope I could still participate.
  3. Yea they are the XPS blades and from what I have got to test them they seem really nice. Since I havent fully got into lead pouring, I ordered the hooks, heads and wire already assembled. But it was still fun to make my own lures and im looking forward to catching something on them.
  4. The other.

I know these are a little late, ive been busy with school, but still thought yall might want to see them. Here are a couple fish I caught at a pond close to my house, both were caught on a 3/16 spinnerbait (see pic). Both were around a pound, nothing special, fun none the less.
  6. Oh i forgot, they are half ounce.
  7. These are some spinnerbaits that I made, more like assembled. Tell me what you guys think. I might put some in the tacklemaking swap thing, if anybody would like to have any.
  8. I just bought a ML for some lightweight bassin and panfishing. On the light, as far as weight goes i would obviously stay within the ratings on the rod and i wouldnt fish anything where you have to penetrate plastic or a weedguard (jigs), as Deuceu said. I bought mine strictly for light weight, less then 1/4oz, exposed hook lures.
  9. I use my BPS Extreme rod for worming, its a 6'6" MH . Its a great rod for 70 bucks, not as much as you wanted to spend but i dont know if thats a problem.
  10. That is just plain awesome.
  11. May have already seen this but i thought it was pretty cool.

Number 27, now thats just funny.
  13. A combo that has served me nicely is the Daiwa Procaster Tournament on a BPS Graphite Series rod and it only cost me 60 dollars. Im guessing the one you have is Medium power so if you get a Medium Heavy power you should be able to throw about anything, between the two.
  14. Thanks for all the suggestions, I went to Dicks Sporting Goods this afternoon, and they had a St. Croix Triumph 6'6" ML for 60 bucks. It seemed like a nice rod, for what i want to do with it, so I got it. Anyone ever had any experince with these?
  15. See the problem is I have a giftcard to BPS and one to Dicks Sporting Goods, and i am wanting to buy a fly outfit and new spinning rod. But being as all the dicks ive went to lately dont have much of a fly fishing selection, i might have to use the BPS giftcard for the fly outfit. Leaving me with the giftcard to Dicks for the spinning rod, who unfortunately doesnt sale the Extremes. Or else i wouldnt even think twice and get the Extreme. So a few more suggestions of rods that arent BPS brand would be much appreciated. I have seen a few St. Croixs and a few All Stars in Dicks in my price range.
  16. I have the same gloves that gloomis7 is talking about and they work pretty good. The pull back fingers also work great for thumb control with baitcasters.
  17. Looking to get into fly fishing, and i was wondering the differences between a 2 and 4 piece rod, besides the 4 being a little easier to travel with.
  18. Im looking to buy a 6' or 6'6" ML spinning rod in the 50 to 75 dollar range, what are some rods yall would reccomend?
  19. Being that im pretty much new to the sport and my PB now is a 3, ill take anything that breaks that but shooting for a 5.
  20. Ill post some pictures of it whenever i go back home.
  21. Yea i noticed it was a little heavier. Thanks for the info on both posts.
  22. I was wanting to buy one of these but the heaviest rod i got is a 6'6" MH with 17 lb line on it. Could this handle it? Its rated for 1 ounce and i think the baby bass is like 1.3 ounces.
  23. Nah im pretty sure there is no numbers just 3 letters, wish i could remember what they are.
  24. Not many people use Osprey Swimbaits?
