Polls: Any psychologists out there?
In addition to Glenn's great explanation, many youth-oriented magazines and websites contain many polls. I'm sure there is some self-worth in creating one of your own.

How long does it take to fix computer stupid?
What gets me is when the health insurance company sends the "Was it work-related?" survey forms to my 10 year old daughter. Yeah, she slipped while working in the sweat shop. . . here's your sign!! :

Tips for selling house?
EJ, Glad my post could be of assistance. BTW, we DID go with a realtor and sold our house in June last summer (within 3 months). I have to admit that I was glad we did. She was a friend of ours and only charged us 3% commission. We are currently in a holding pattern while we rent a duplex. There's NOTHING for sale around here. Good luck selling the house! BTW. Drmn big, where is your house?

I'm no English teacher but...
We are currently in a battle with our 10 year old daughter to break the "ain't" habit. One that I laugh at often is when you see a sign in convenience store windows that reads: "Now excepting applications". ;D

The Trouble with BPS
I went in the other night to our BPS store (Dallas-Grapevine) and saw another guy having the same issue. He wanted a fish-finder for the price he found on-line at another retailer. They wouldn't match the price, but offered him a 15% discount (which was within $20 of the discount he wanted). After checking, the clerk found that they only had the display model. He said that they normally would take 10% off for the display model, but because they had already taken 15%, they couldn't go any further. I was there for about ten minutes and walked away before seeing if he made the purchase or not. I'm sure their strategy is to give you a hard enough time and maybe you'll get mad and walk away. Micro, You were FAR more patient than I would have been. I commend you for that. I would have laid them on the counter and walked away.

Check your PM's. -FOM

Apple TV
Nope. There are many markets in which HD locals are not available via sat. Unless things have changed, Comcast in this area only offers around 10 HD channels. And then it isn't much more than an upconverted signal. KU, Remember to keep in mind that Burley DOES live in Virginia! JK Burley!

Daytona 500
Sounds like the superbowl. Have they interviewed the president yet? Which artists have performed? :

My ol' lady loves me
My wife and me are planning on hitting the water together more this year, too. She's beyond live bait and a Zebco, but still not as hardcore as I am.

Spring Has Sprung!
I want to see pictures. ;D We've had some spring weeds coming up around here, but no flowers. You guys must be having a heat wave up your way. I'm sure they'll be frostbitten soon. We're due one more cold snap or two around here.

Sirius-ly...
We got XM over three years ago. My six main presets include 80's on 8, The Message, Classic Vinyl, Rewind, 70's on 7, and Hairnation. I've been please with the changes since the merger with Sirius and I haven't noticed any commercials. I, too, channel surf like crazy. It makes my wife go insane.

Who is your favorite Iron Chef?
Toss up between Flay and Batali, but I do have to agree with the "skinny chef" comments. I guess Cat Cora would be my least favorite. Off, but near the topic, the entirely most annoying cook on Foodnet is "Barefoot Contessa". My wife does a great whispering impression of her. ;D

If You Ride A Bike Watch Out For Squirrels
My gosh, Frog. That is hilarious!! That even beats Muddy's trolling motor story. I have to share that with others.

You and I bought Santonio Holmes a New Escalade!
Fixed it for you. Wish it were that easy!! : What is difficult about correcting statements that are not factual? Do you really think all of that $9.4 Billion will be paid back? I'm not holding my breath. :-/ What I mean't anyway, was I wish fixing the economy were as easy as marking out a few words and inserting some more. :

Here we go again
FFI, Check your pm's. I, too, have a daughter who is almost the same age (10). She recieved her first "check yes or no" note the other day, only to have the boy say, "Never mind" the next day. Oh, the drama that night! :'( She's even had a boy call the house a time or two. I'm sure it only gets worse.

Way to go Steelers!!!!
Congrats to the Steelers and their fans!! I didn't watch the game in real-time, but zoomed through it afterward. Here are some of my thoughts: - I wish the game could just be about football again (no more presidential interviews, singers, and other fanfare). - The NFL should go ahead and ban touching the quarterback. Warner gets speared and no call. BIG 245 lb. Ben gets a slight push and a flag is thrown. Come on! At least call it consistently. - I'm still not sure if Holmes foot was on the ground. Only he knows, and he's not telling. - The Cardinals deserved one more play. Warner's arm was going forward. - I agree that the 100 yard interception was the play of the game, or Pitt would not have been in the position to win it. -The MVP should have gone to Ben. There's no way Holmes had a chance if that ball wasn't thrown that far outside. The game itself was a good one. I look forward to see if Warner returns for next season. If the Cards can make some adjustments on their defense, they will contend again next year.

Wacha gettin' Your Women for Valentines Day
My wife and I had dinner at Carabba's followed by a movie this past Friday night in leu of Valentine's Day. My daughter has a basketball tournament on the 14th as well as other activities on that day. I know you all don't believe it, but my wife isn't into all that. She's kind of like Silvercliff's wife. A camp-out or fishing trip means as much to her as it does to me.

Wii Fit. OMG!
Excuse me, that's not an image I'm completely comfortable thinking about (especially for those who NEED a wii fit)! BTW- We got one at Christmas, and, yes, it does give me a good workout. But, like anything else, you have to use it to get results. My last fitness test was over two weeks ago. :-[ What gets me is when you get on the scale and the little voice goes "Uuuuuuuh!".

Winter Wonderland
Freezing rain here today. I'm actually able to sit in front of this keyboard without guilt today, for school was called. I figured I'd break away from my second episode of Little House to check the BR board. There's more precip headed our way. I wish we had some snow so at least my daughter and I could go out and play.

Who else does this?
Peanuts were always best in a grape Nehi. Anyone remember Nehi's? I occasionally put them into a can of Welch's grape soda now and then.

60,70,80 -0 BBall press?
If you had a daughter playing, you'd think differently. I used to feel the same way about women's basketball. :-X

Knight Rider
You know, I've tried to watch, but seeing Kitt as a mustang isn't the same. I wonder why they didn't use a Pontiac G6? Did Ford pay them more $$$? I guess I remember the old shows the way they were and have trouble with re-makes. Sometimes the new technology (CGI's and other) is taken too far in them.
