That's a good looking '56? (although I wouldn't know first hand like some of you) Chevy there. Full service stations were still around in the 70's as I grew up. There was a Phillips 66 station where my mom would always fill up. She would give the green stamps to my brother and I. It was always a treat to go and trade the books in on something. I remember getting a tackle box set and a camp axe (among other things I fail to remember).

21, Glenn. Looney toons were great. So were the Sid and Marty Croft shows (Land of the Lost, Sigmund the Sea Monster, Far Out Space Nuts, HR Puffinstuff, Wonderbug, etc.) and the Superfriends (without the two kids and the monkey). This was why I enjoyed the Boomerang network, but has anyone noticed that they've moved on to 90's and early 00's cartoons. I guess us older folks aren't that important anymore. :'(

Good thing it's moving east. Our lows are only supposed to be in the lower 20's Friday morning. High's are to rebound to normal temps. (mid 50's by Saturday afternoon). I'm still sure we'll get ours before spring, though.

You want to make sure its been clubbed to death. The meat is much better when you can taste the fear in it. ;D "Clubbed to death". . . don't you mean "tenderized". Seriously, Does anyone know of a "real" person who is in PETA? I often wonder if their media campaign is controlled by a small group of radical rich spoiled brats. I just hate that they prey on our children.

Ummmm, one word. . . therapy? May I ask why? (even though I know better) I'm with others. I will listen on the way to the lake, but only the sound of nature when I'm on the water.

I voted for the Cards. They've never won a superbowl, so why not them? Although, Pittsburgh probably is the team to win it all (they seem to have talent in the right places and a strong defense).

My brother and I were talking about this the other day. He stated that gas taxes in Texas were probably already almost a dollar a gallon, therefore gas won't go under $1 a gallon (in order for the sellers to maintain a profit margin). I guess expecting less than a dollar a gallon gas in this day and time is a bit much anyway (but it would be nice).

Read in yesterday's paper it was .50, not 50%. Heck who knows though. They are after every penny they can get thier hands on. I don't know. If the tax was .20 a gallon and they increase it by 50% (another .10) wouldn't that be better than another .50? :-/ I thought someone said here that the tax was suggested for the hybrid owners because they weren't giving their fair share? All I know is that gas can go up .25 in a day or two, but takes a month or two to fall half that much. >

You must not have a woman. ;D Sometimes you just have to take one for the team, suck it up, and be courteous to your spouse or girlfriend. It means alot for them to have a shoulder to cry on. Give and take. Better or worse. 8-)

Agreed. I really like "Dark Side of the Moon" and most of "The Wall" (I still have the albums), but wasn't crazy about some of the music that followed. I think one of the prettiest acoustic arrangements is "Mother" on "The Wall", even though the lyrics are satirical. Leave it to them to include the line, "Mother do you think they'll try to break my balls." in there. Crazy stuff.

It's not a state issue here in Texas, but alot of cities are enacting these laws. I agree with you that I don't enjoy going into a smokey restaurant. I've always thought that if the restaurants would have done a better job with the smoking areas in the first place (like using completely separate rooms, ventilation fans, etc.) these laws would not be necessary. Even when I did smoke (back in late HS and early college), I NEVER had the urge to have one with my hamburger or steak dinner.

It's kind of like the re-mastering of old albums. For some there was just something about the crackle and pop that went with it. You kind of got used to it, and now clean and crisp recordings just don't sound the same. Another thing I hate is when you find a really cheap CD of an old band you like, get it home, and they're all live cuts. I didn't think about this when I was younger and attending them, but why do people have to scream all the way through a set of music at a concert?

We have the same type of chopper, only it's from Pampered Chef. To be honest, I think it works great. We use it at least two or three times a week.

LOL Thats gold Jerry. LOL wow a Kenny Banya reference. Thats pretty funny In my house, Seinfeld references are all too common. It's odd that he's never been put into the movies. I'm sorry, but Happy Gilmore is hilarious. I cannot help but watch it EVERY time it's on (just like Seinfeld). I tried to watch Little Nicky the other day and turned it off after about 15 minutes (stupid with a capital "s", even for Sandler).

"BILLY MAYS HERE. . . !" I've always wondered if he yells that way to his family at home. "HONEY, CAN I HAVE SOME MORE EGGS PLEASE. . ." Someone should do that as a skit. Hey, Ed Bassmaster!!

He tried to stay with the Packers. They owed him another starting year and didn't give it to him, so he left. I, too, really like Favre, but I think it's time to hang it up (as he should have done last year). The Jets have nothing to complain about (how many wins did they have last year?)

My wife bought up several packages of those little pre-packaged Christmas tree cookies (not the roll kind). They were sitting at Wal-mart for half price. Those little devils are awesome right out of the oven. I've had four of them right before bed for the last few nights with a glass of milk. I think she's fattening me up for something. Don't be surprised if I don't look like this soon (only the ripples will be rolls).
