  1. Hehe .... the end of the hardness of rocks as we knew it. Sounds like Rock-Hard as a name wasn't such a good idea. At least Daniel, you can save a few bucks and buy you that C.C Bait. As for the Softbait Platinum...... I don't know if some notice it too. But I was at a show in Dan's country for LC early this year. In my free time, I was playing with a floating 6" and it would not swim straight. So I just added a pear-shaped 3/8 sinker on the hook eye and it turn it into a new version of the slow sinking. But the action was better than that of the normal slow sinking. I ended up selling about 50 floating with weights.... And I wasn't even here for Castaic As for the catchability of the bait, I'm not much of a swimbait fisher but I've tried the softbait on pikes, it works OK but tears up too easily ....even on bass. As for the Rock-hard, I was ready to give it a try..... I guess I won't. At least, it shows you can't really be a fraud in the swimbait markets. Another example after the Real Calif. Supreme issue...

Nice bass and congrats ! I heard your friend BassinAssassin171 is coming over to France pretty soon. Perhaps you could like give him one of those big bass you keep catching, and then he can give it to me ...... I want a 9lber so bad : Max
  3. PS: I see you bought a Kistler LTA (new version). Like it ?
  4. Well pretty hard to tell. I've never caught a 4 kilo bass. Since you're pretty big, tall I meant ... I would say between 3,7 and 4. Could be 4 ! We sometimes have big bass here that have impressive broad "shoulders". Did you get to measure the length and girth of the fish ? that would help. PS: for our American friends, 3,6 is 7.9lbs and 4 is much like 8.8lbs
  5. Pretty cool ! I'd just suggest checking the tie knot ! You would not enter a party at my former Cadet Highschool without a proper Windsor ;D. By the way, I went fishing after a new year eve once. I had a bet that if I was able to go fishing right after the party a friend of mine would pay all my expenses. So I went ! at 5:45 in the morning. I fished like 3 hours and then fell asleep on a park bench ;D. Even got skunked ! 8-)
  6. Well congrats to your new PB, Daniel ! I didn't know about it. And by the way, that is a huge fish for europe by all means. I'd sign for even just a 3 kil. I guess I'll have to go to Mountain and cheese land sometimes. As for this potential new french record. Little info is available for the time being. Only a handful of persons heard about it. We will see ! By the way, we only have northern strained largemouth in France (in europe for that matter).
  7. Hello y'all, The friend of a good friend of mine caught a 5,230 kg bass. This is the new french record. I was able to take a very quick look at pictures, but I can't show you them yet, because of rights... It seems a fishing magazin (Predators) bought the pictures and should publish them in its july issue. I don't know where they are in the certifying process. I know the bass has been caught in the Toulouse region on a live magic shad (Lake Fork). The fish was pretty small (63 cm) but is a barrel. A behemoth. I know european records are a joke, since there ain't no viable record office. But I'm pretty sure that's the biggest european bass I've ever seen. I will keep you posted on the subject. The bass on the picture below was the former French record.
  8. Thank you Skillet, Nice of you ! "saw you fishing where the folks aren't quite as enthusiastic about wetting a line as we are." Do you mean the Versailles Palace again ? Well I gave up on that spot, that was a one-time trip.... just for a bet with a friend. The water there is now covered with weed... not worth it ! It would be way too hard to sneak into the palace garden with my Frog set-up, although I reckon a picture of a fish caught on a Frog in front of the versailles palace would have looked reeeeally french . I'm back to normal everyday waters fishing.
  9. Hey, is that just a normal nail? :-? The nail you see on the picture is a crappy one. I had to find one pretty quick for the picture. I usually use stronger strainless steel nails, with a large head.
  10. Same here. Since I usually only use Big Daddy Frogs as trailer when I'm using porks, I soften the legs by folding them and pinching pretty hard every 2mm (give or take). I does break the skin a little. When done properly it doesn't break the legs and it makes for very soft legs.
  11. I personnaly think the size 100 is a better all-around size. But I agree with Daniel, the 115 is really something. I don't like the 85 If you only want to buy one, I'd suggest going with a Sammy 100. As for colors, can't really go wrong with clear natural colors, I love a MS North Black too, and in gin-clear water I like to switch to ghost natural colors.
  12. Well Thanks Daniel ! Just added Hungary to the list. I've been off lately, but I'm back.
  13. Hiya Marco and Welcome aboard ! Which part of Spain are you from ? Max

There you go .... that was a quick one ! Bravo ... Ok that was a bagley. What's funny is that if you play the same game in france, people are more likely to know only japanese lures and will have a hard time identifying a Bagley, which sucks to my opinion. Anyway, your turn.
  15. Tremendous jig trailer indeed.. A killer in watermelon. I also use it texas rigged for pitching and flipping wood cover. I just wish it had a bit longer body. Also, I was positively suprised with its resistance. Knowing GYCB, I thought he would tear apart way more easily than it actually does (still a bit fragile though, but hey that's a yamamoto). I also use it on a weird rig called either Okeechobee rig or Sasuteki (Japan). Sort of an upside down texas rig..... works ok ! It will only tear the kreature apart twice as fast ;D
  16. Congratulations to you for your new PB. The bass has beautiful colors too.. and that mouth shot is sweet! That craw seems to habe a bit of problem.... :
  17. The X rap is a good jerkbait, but I think the Pointer is more versatile. You can't go wrong with a pointer... anytime of the year.

Aaah this one is easier, see. Water Land - BattleWave. Of course that's sort of a Jitterbug knock-off too. So here's the next one. and this one is not Japanese, for crying out loud.
  19. The pictures are not faked. They have just photoshoped the background so no one can really locate the spots.

That was a tough one ! Nice one. Ken Craft indeed, I knew I had already seen such a deep lateral line on another lure. Just couldn't place it. I guess you can post a new one.
  21. Wow Congrats again ! Man, I wish Napoleon was clever enough to invade California back then ;D. I need to get out of europe ... and quick :
  22. That sounds like a fine birthday. 8-) Happy Bday (a bit late) !
  23. Wow, if you want a 1:30h DVD that would be. 126*30=3780h 157 days and 12 hours.
  24. They look really nice .... way out of my price range though ! But awesome painting jobs nonetheless.

Gee nice one Daniel ! I gotta say I don't know this one. It's true though that it looks like a Staysee 60SP by LC. The color and the white lips/jaws of the fish sure look like a Gan Craft, but it's not. Nah I know a couple of brands with Craft ... but it's not among the brand I know. Not even a North Craft. You got me on this one Daniel.
