  1. or you just get to wait two weeks for them to ship it...
  2. They usually come out pretty easy, at least mine do. Now the last time My wife birds nested my reel I had to cut it out.
  3. I've caught a couple catfish on senkos, and several bluegill on jerkbaits and the Ned rig. Hooked a gar on a dropshot but didn't land him (which didn't hurt my feelings much)
  4. Well I unfortunately have content to add I caught a small bush with my forward cast.
  5. I would be late for everything!
  6. Better than frogging with a spinning rod, which I've done. I also frog with a 6.8:1 on a medium heavy without issue.
  7. I'll stay until I question my physical ability to walk back to the truck... or until the wife sends that text message, the one where you can almost hear her voice in your head? Yeah, that one...
  8. Try black and blue, colors really are secondary, if it's highly pressured try down sizing, maybe the Ned rig or a drop shot
  9. @Siebert Outdoorsstrikes again! I love his jigs, I especially love the chatterbaits!
  10. I've had that happen with braid a couple times, usually it gets caught up on a bush or something and starts getting it tangled up. The post backlash
  11. Days like that spoil you
  12. Got out tonight for a couple hours. Boy it sure was hot! Noticed some big mamas up around the weeds swimming around, but they weren't interested in anything I offered. I did manage to catch my first spinnerbait fish, caught a couple on a drop shot, and had a few weak attempts on my jig. It was so hot the fish were sweating so I wasn't surprised it was slow.
  13. Is your drag set? I always grasp the line between my forefinger and thumb and put tension on the line if I'm reeling in after I pick out a backlash, give that a try if you're not doing it, it may help some.
  14. I've got the same lunkerhunt frog, I'm not a big fan, I don't get many hits on it, and when I do, most of the time they tend to grab the legs. I prefer the booyah pad crasher.
  15. Yes, as long as you can effectively cast smaller, lighter lures you'll do just fine.
  16. I wish my creek hadn't turned into a raging unfishable river! We've had so much rain I've only got to fish for smallies a couple times this summer. Nice fish btw, I bet those big mamas put up a heck of a fight!
  17. Pfft... nuts to all that silliness. I'll just keep my stuff backed up on my phone.
  18. I did a test in the off topic forums and mine worked ok. I know just copy and pasting the image code doesn't work anymore. Sorry to derail the thread.
  19. This is a spotted bass. Notice the size of the tail, the jaw, the slightly different coloring, and the dots on the belly.
  20. Guys if any of you are looking for a project I saw an old boat with a trailer and I think it had an outboard, it had a free sign on it. It's on the west side of Plainfield, I can give you directions if anyone is interested. Btw, it looks like you would imagine a free boat would
  21. Looks like a large mouth to me.
  22. I'd hate to see what would happen if I was using a shimano or daiwa seriously though, about the only time I have them is when I try to muscle the cast, or catch the tree behind me... I wish I would have taken a picture of that one!
