  1. I bought one a couple months ago... first thing I caught? A daggone bluegill
  2. Usually in deeper, cooler water or around vegetation they Use for cover and the vegetation puts off oxygen.
  3. You should watch being right like that, last time I tried it I didn't wake up for 2 days
  4. We were at 95%, it started to get cloudy by the time I got to a place to stop to look at it, which was ok cause I could see it with just sunglasses when it was behind the clouds. Everything took on a yellow tint and the shadows were very sharp like everything was under a spotlight.
  5. Some saltwater fish can change sex, others are hatched with no sex, it develops later when they find a mate, like clownfish. The larger specimen will become the female. I don't know if it's not discussed much or it just doesn't happen much but I can't imagine why freshwater fish wouldn't be capable of the same modifications?
  6. Of Mice and Men. I've read it a few times, the first time was high school English class when they forced me to read (I wasn't a reader) I've probably read it 3 or 4 times since and seen the movie several times.
  7. Let's add a couple more positive points, free shipping on that awesome cardboard tube, and a free sticker! I have the tube in the garage, it's big enough to put 3 rods in if I was planning on traveling somewhere.
  8. It must be nice to be retired on a serious note though, how do they get the chip out if you decide you don't want to work there anymore??? I'm definitely not getting chipped, unfortunately one day it means all who say no will probably be starving, homeless, or just put down. Indianafinesse hit the nail on the proverbial head!
  9. I use a mh/f and it's fine, but it's definitely not required.
  10. I'd definitely fish all those. Replace the hooks, epoxy the bills back in and fish them. You can definitely add new stuff but there's nothing wrong with the old stuff. If you really don't want it consider donating it to a kids fishing organization.
  11. I like my siebert outdoors jigs, I use arky head jigs for grass and weeds, I mainly use the rage craws for trailers but I'm experimenting with other options to.
  12. Welcome to the forum!
  13. Pink... sometimes purple, depends on my mood...
  14. If you guys want to use a senko, why not try the pro version. They are 6.75" and they have less salt for shaky head use.
  15. IMO, if it's working fine, I wouldn't touch it. I had 2 cheaper ones that I decided I would tear down and give them a good cleaning. Both are taking up residence at some landfill now because things didn't go back together right or didn't stay together. It can obviously be done, but my advice would be let the pros do it for you, that way if it gets screwed up they are on the hook to make it right!
  16. Looked at it online but didn't learn anything.
  17. This. the stuff is great.
  18. Women are ridiculous sometimes.
  19. It's like the on going argument with my wife (who is from Michigan) about the pronunciation of asphalt. She says ASHphalt, I say asphalt like a butt and fault.
  20. That galldurn foreign fish bait...
  21. I love a rage craw chunk for a trailer, lots of action.
  22. Chatterbaits are great for dirty water, black and blue jigs, lipless crankbaits.
  23. For custom, it sure doesn't take him long to get them out. I get mine faster than I would if it was an amazon order. I think it was 5 or 6 days from the time I ordered until they were in the mailbox. Get a chatterbait to, while you're at it, those things are awesome!
  24. Well that does seem pretty ridiculous! That's kind of concerning, seems like they would at least repair the issues for you.
  25. Do you mind expanding on your issues with Fenwick? I've got two HMG's and I'm planning on picking up another this winter.
