Daiichi death traps are what I use. Allen
  4. I have had several custom spinnerbait molds made and yes you are right a 1/4oz spinnerbait weighs more than 1/4oz. The weight is what the lead alone weighs without any other components. I have some dead pours from my 3/8oz hidden weight mold and thay weigh exactly 3/8oz. Now when I put all the components on it the bait is slightly over 1/2oz. Allen
  5. On that list Iwould hold off on the tungsten weights and evolution jigs? Until you are real good with either of these baits you will see no benefit from them other than high dollar bragging rights. Buy some cheap jigs in solid black and whatever soft plastic color you feel confident in with matching trailers. You are going to lose a lot of jigs in the learning process so it is better to have 6 $1 jigs than 1 $6 jig. Allen
  6. Size 3 clevis and size 2 or 3 swivel depending on blade size? I started using Worth and they only makes one size swivel. Allen
  7. I have caught more fish on a DT-4 than Zoom. The Zoom cranks are made well but do not seem to work for me? The LC RC 1.5 is running circles around all other cranks right now where I fish. Allen
  8. www.fishingskirts.com There is a video on how to use the tool on the home page of the site. Allen
  9. Ike fishes his this way? BTW that finesse fishing video he did is good. Allen
  10. I will have to see if I can find them but if I had to guess I would say size 4. Allen
  11. Not sure if there is a better book out there for beginners? But it is worth the price and a good start. I have been making my own lures for awhile now and still re-read it every so often. Allen
  12. My camera is bad and my picture taking skills are worse but the bait is about 3". Allen
  13. For the cold water I use hare jigs most of the time. Fish are sluggish so I use 1/8oz black with either a uncle josh 101 black pork chunk or a zoom tiny chunk in solid black. I just ordered 3 dozen of these because they look so good for winter fishing. With hare jigs I only use a trailer about half the time anyway. http://jibblers.com/BassJigs3.htm#Custom%20Fox%20Hair%20Series Allen
  14. This bleeding bait fad has to end! > I may get one just because I collect baits but they need a 1/2oz bait. Allen
  15. Fat raps Rapala to bring back the CW color Kangaroo grub Madman lizards in Volcano color Maybe we can get some trading going on as I think I have some of the stuff mentioned? I should have a couple of those baby TI spinnerbaits and some older fat free shads but I can't give up the reflective ones as they are my favorite. Allen
  16. Shot with DiMAGE E500 at 2008-12-17 Taking a break from spinnerbaits to pour some soft plastics. Allen
  17. Rc 1.5 in Copper perch. Allen
  18. Just stick on the eyes then paint over them with clear fingernail paint. This works great on everything except chart. powder paint that turns orange for some reason? Allen

The body color looks like a good yellow perch base. I wish the stuff I airbrushed came out like that Mine looks like a 1st grade art project :-[ Allen
  20. Are yours like mine and have most of the paint missing? Yellow spots when the sun is out and olive back when it is cloudy. Allen
  21. Eakins Jewel jig 5/16oz in GP, black or brown are a finesse jig and catch a lot of fish. Trailers I use different ones but the 3 main ones are Zoom super chunk/jr, Paca craws and Zoom creepy crawler double tail grubs. Allen
  22. Be really careful pouring lead! I really suggest you find someone that already pours and get them to teach you. Allen
  23. You know there is already a lure company called Big Mouth. Allen
  24. Shot with DiMAGE E500 at 2008-12-13 Here are some of my latest spinnerbaits. My photo taking skillz are terrible though! :-[ Shot with DiMAGE E500 at 2008-12-13 Football jig and some hand poured DS minnows Allen
