  1. At some point I thought I needed every color of senkos and Zoom lizards. Now I carry 6 colors now, the 5 that work best for me and a random color. Allen
  2. Started using them myself with some good results. Working through different baits now to see what is best. So far Zoom Zcraw jr has worked best. Allen
  3. Generally I just let the fish decide Finesse jigs generally work better in the spring and fall with trig more during the summer. Allen
  4. I have given up on using them for this reason. A tiny torpedo can have a 6' limb and entire grass bed hooked but still spins. Allen
  5. Smailie beaver Baby brush hog Chigger craw Allen
  6. Once you start to figure out what works best for you custom spinnerbaits get easier. I started making them because everything was based on standard sizes for the south. Got tired of buying a brand new spinnerbait then immediately having to modify it to what I needed. Its just easier to make your own from scatch than to buy something you have to modify. If you have any questions hit me or smalljaw67 as between us we have 50 years of spinnerbait making experience. We talk often and bounce ideas off one another. Allen
  7. If you are on Facebook I can give you the contact info for the guy that makes them just message me. Worth has shallow cup willow blades as I have bought a bunch of them. Allen
  8. Top color does not mean anything to me only the bottom. As long as the bottom is white or black I am fine. Allen
  9. I thought Dottie was hooked on a swimbait not a jig? Allen
  10. Its a crap shoot as to what kind of person you are going to get. I ask if there are any rules before hand just in case. When I first started fishing a club I only knew 2 of the 14 people. Figured I would learn a lot from the older members. What I learned from that first year as a co was to buy a boat. Had one guy drop my off at the ramp 3 hours into an 8 hour tournament. He was almost finished his first case of beer and already hit a rock ledge. Allen
  11. That's funny now but I had a new guy in my old club bring 14 rods , 2 tackle bags, and a cooler. I was running a 17'' Basstracker at the time. Caught all my fish that day on a shakey head worm. Allen
  12. RSA 1028 bit encryption G14 Classified stuff. Allen
  13. RC 1.5 and Bandit 100 have proven themselves for years. This year its been the Bandit 100 in ole matte light. Allen
  14. Had an owl grab a jitterbug which scared the crap out of me. Allen
  15. I canceled after it became an infomercial pamphlet for Toyota and Berkeley. Allen
  16. Figured given the bait shape and the popularity of those colors it would be a good seller. I would pre-order 50 packs if you can convince them. Allen
  17. Tell them to make their fluke in natural shad and baby bass. Allen
  18. Just arrived today. Allen
  19. Sammy 100 Gunfish 95 Jackal Bonnie 95 These are my 3 favorite. Allen
  20. 68MXF Avid is the best spinning rod I have ever owned. I have a blank in the basement to be built as a custom rod. Allen
  21. Let me give you one of my best but hard learned lessons from years of experience. If you chew Redman like I do when fishing follow these instructions in the exact order. First put the Redman in your mouth. Then go ahead and adjust the jig trailer you just dumped kick in bass craw all over. I cannot stress this order of events enough! Otherwise your day will not start out well and can tell you that my taste in condiments is a lot different than those of a bass. Allen
  22. Bought these hooks off Ebay I think? They look cool and have a teflon coating but hardly fit any molds. If you have a 60 degree flat eye mold I will send some just pay shipping. Allen
  23. This is the main jig I use for most situations. I do use a different hook though. Allen
  24. I have made thousands of jigs and think too many people get caught up in the names? Same with technique specific rods. So what makes a casting jig different than other jigs as I cast all of my jigs? Allen
