  1. Bought these hooks off Ebay I think? They look cool and have a teflon coating but hardly fit any molds. If you have a 60 degree flat eye mold I will send some just pay shipping. Allen
  2. This is the main jig I use for most situations. I do use a different hook though. Allen
  3. I have made thousands of jigs and think too many people get caught up in the names? Same with technique specific rods. So what makes a casting jig different than other jigs as I cast all of my jigs? Allen
  4. So I see where people talk about action and power on here. I am wandering what you use as a standard? For me I use St. Croix as a standard. They are consistent with their ratings. I do not even have to fish or handle one of their rods to know how it feels. This is why overall they are my favorite rods in general. Kistler on the other hand are all over the place? Allen
  5. I have a 6-8 Lowrider baitcaster that lists as a fast action but to me it's more of a moderate fast. This is what I use for spinnerbaits and would like to find another one or a Cara version. Allen
  6. I teach it the same way, buy some 10 or 12lb Berkeley Big Game as it is cheap and a good mono. Allen
  7. 8lb straight Floro MXF Avid spinning rod. Allen
  8. This is what happens to me as well. Allen
  9. Baitcaster plus 9" worm does not equal finesse to me. Allen
  10. This is how you can add a blade to the smaller hooks. Allen
  11. Only ones I can get to work past 10' are SK 5XD. With these I only use colors; chart blue back, white chart back ( both with rattles), and the silent silver/grey black back. The silent grey one works the best in clear and stained water. Blue back in muddier water that we don't have a lot of around here. Chart white one just works the best at one particular lake for whatever reason. Allen
  12. Update on these baits above I made 4 and gave 3 away for testing. One guy has been wrecking them on the Lower Potomac for 2 months now. The other 2 baits have been stolen by musky on the Susquehanna river. Allen
  13. Does a $3200 jet pump to start fishing shallow water count? Allen
  14. Bass don't know they are SW lures? One of my best crankbaits is for walleye. Favorite finesse worm is made for steelhead. Allen
  15. I had one with a red plastic lip. Allen
  16. Another advantage is you cannot usually find that blade combination at the store. Puts off a different vibration that they have never experienced. For future baits you should use a hollow metal bead behind the clevis. Eventually the metal clevis will dig into a plastic bead causing it to stop spinning. You will probably destroy or lose the bait first but I am suggesting it for better performance and longevity of the bait. Allen
  17. I have confidence in everything except two lures that seem to be favorites here. Chatterbait- I know it should work but for some reason I can't catch anything on it? Whooper plopper- A single piece of grass in the water from someone who moved their lawn the week before will stop the blade. This has frustrated me to the point I don't even carry one anymore. A Tiny torpedo can have a 3' long limb stuck on the back hook and the blade still spins. I guess everything comes down to where you are fishing? The past month my best baits have been; spinnerbait, fluke, crankbait , and the Ned baits that look like a tiny RI beaver. Allen
  18. Is there a lot of yellow perch around? That's what that bait looks like to me. Allen
  19. People think I am lying when I tell them this. Allen
  20. On advice of counsel I reserve the right to plead the 5th amendment. I have really cut back lately and have spent less than $100 on tackle this year. Allen

I have a couple of spares laying around. Allen
  22. Same ones I use all the time. Allen
  23. Baby 1- in bone is my favorite. Second place is a Jackal Zero footer. Third goes to the Bandit footloose. Allen
  24. Top one John Rambo must of lost after he jumped off that cliff. Allen
