Maryland's Who's who!
Nice one! we were looking for walleye. I can catch bass and trout almost anywhere. But theres a late fall walleye run that is happening now apparently. I never caught one.

Clear Blue Fluorescent Mono Line
I’ve noticed? Yup! Potomac or the Monocacy. That one of my setups for LM as well. 7’1” MLxfast (by ## Fishing) w light braid-leader. I’ve has trouble with leaders snapping if less than 12lb, but that’s probably because I use seaguar Red mainline instead of “real” leader line.

Well hell, thats what I already had on. ?♂️

Clear Blue Fluorescent Mono Line
You guy were correct. Lol ive always uses light braid w a leader before, but for smallies wasn’t sure if it’d work so good. Would have been better thanks this 12lb ?♂️ Originally my consideration was the 8lb blue....kinda morphed

I have a nice pair of Seirus gloves for kayaking. Kinda hesitant to cut the fingers out. Might try cutting slits in them. Also considering Simms.

right on. I know this knot. Forgot about it. Lol Good one.

Clear Blue Fluorescent Mono Line
Yea. I know but Line breaks suck also. Lol Spun it up with 12 lb invisx actually. Pushing it I know but it Feels more forgiving than the seaguar 10 and same diameter.

Clear blue florescent line
Cool. What terminal knot do you suggest with 10lb flouro? I’ve been using an eye crosser for heavier line but for some reason it tends to break in lighter flouro. The palamar is the same for me. I’m thinking a trilene....

Clear Blue Fluorescent Mono Line
Question y’all: Given the choice for smallies, whats the best between the following on a 2000-2500 size spin reel; 12Lb mean green original low vis green 10 lb red seaguar flouro 8lb MG blue flourecent 6lb yo zuri hybrid (strong line but I haven’t found a good knot for it. It cuts itself easily) thanks!

Like it. Good price too! Size getting mixed reviews tho. I’m a men’s medium but they only have large. Tho some reviews say buy a size up. And others say the opposite. lol

Maryland small ponds?
Tell him it’s the 21st century... he doesn’t have to invent excuses if he want to wear pantiehoes! Lol Im sure that’d work. Stuffing your pant legs into your socks in a pinch works also

Maryland small ponds?
2nded that Waders bro. Chest high neoprene slides through briars easily. For ticks there’s a great product called lymez wrist and ankle cuffs No but a buddy did once earlier this summer. Caught a 3.5 on a lipless within 15 min.

Maryland small ponds?
Just stubbled onto this thread. Sorry but these answers arnt from locals. Laytonsville is not close to those places. Checkout triadelphia and rocky gorge. For ponds, gotta scout em out yourself. There’s a number of good ones not very far.

“Making the most” of my gear
Hey all, I current have 5 rods/reels and am looking for tips on line/lure setups to best optimize everything. I’m not likely to buy more equipment anytime soon since all these I got just this last year or 2. Currently, because I like to select only 2-3 Rods per trip I have them all spooled the same way for versatility; light braid (15-20 lb) to a flouro or mono leader. Sometimes using 25ft leader for stretch when I want to crank. But I realize this is not so great. I mainly fish either from the bank or in a pontoon float tube. Spinning; 1. *** 7’1” MLxF paired with diawa exceler 2000 (straight 8” fluorocarbon on this one). Use mainly weightless or split shot rigs. 2. g-rods game changer 7” Mf paired with Daiwa BG 2500 (braid to 10” flouro) Use for shakiehead, t-rigs and smaller spinnerbaits. Baitcasting: 1: g-rods game changer 7” MHf with 8:1:1 tatula ct100x (braid to 15 lb mono or flouro) For heavy (.75-1.5oz) topwater and lipless cranks, jigs and C-rigs. 2. Tatula 6’10” Mxf With another 8:1:1 tatula (sv TW) with braid to flouro or mean green hybrid mono [or my Revo Rocket 9:1:1, rairly] for pretty much everything 1oz or less eg lighter topwaters, Spinners, t and c rigs, jigging spoons small cranks (on a slower reel). Often switch to a slower reel (8:1, still too fast, but it’s what I’ve got) 3. Tatula 7”3’ MHR (my only real cranking rod, which I end up rarely using because it’s less versatile) paired to one of the 8:1:1 tatulas with braid to mono (15-25 ft leader). For spinners and cranks (wish I had gotten a 6:3:1 but wasn’t thinking straight I guess). Suggestions? Line choice in particular but any thoughts would be appreciated! thanks Josh
