  1. How cool is that. Congratulations, and thanks, you just made me go back in time 20 years to my high school days.
  2. Raul, House prices here are crazy. If you want something nice, in a decent neighborhood you will pay $500k. These same houses were selling close to a million 2 years ago.
  3. Lots of people losing their homes here. I'm in the Salinas/Monterey area. On a side note, there are lots of people buying here as well. We're doing a huge amount of FHA financing now, and have been very busy with selling REO's for many banks in the area. Prices, in my opinion, have hit bottom here. The REO's that we are listing are typically selling for $20-40k over asking price. The market, in my opinion, is much more realistic now. The easy underwriting practices of banks has now come back to bite them in the you know what.
  4. I am not familiar with that lure, pitchinkid.
  5. It took me approximately 2 years to fill this bag of baits. It's been sitting in my garage, and I know I will never use them. It's a relic from my old boat bought back in 2000. These baits are all in their original bags, some I think arent even made anymore. I figured one of our younger members can benefit from this. I was thinking of all sorts of ways to get the right person to give this to. There are easily a couple hundred dollars worth of plastics in this bag. In the end I want to make it easy and fair. You have to answer one question, closest to the correct answer without going over wins. There can not be a tie, as once an answer is given, it can not be used again. The only qualifying rules are that you must be 18 or younger, and you must post a picture of your first catch. Fair enough? Here is the bag. I will ship it 2nd day so you can have it soon after the winner is picked on Sunday, October 4th, around 8pm pacific standard time. Oh yeah, here's the question.... What does the bag weigh? Closest answer to within 1/100 of a pound wins. To make it fair, I have given the correct answer to 2 individuals here at BR, They will help validate the correct weight in case there is any thoughts that favoritism was used. The individuals are LBH and Muddy. Good luck!!! As a bonus, I will also throw in some brand new baits from Fishbelly!
  6. Yes and yes. I have a guy that did the anodizing for my Daiwa BBS, if you want his contact info I can PM it to you. He is very meticulous and also very reasonable.
  7. Thanks Dan, and thank you Glenn for letting me help out. I have a few more coming. The Kick Shad is a great bait Dan. You wont be dissapointed with it.
  8. LTA rods are great, I just ordered a Helium to compare.
  9. Check your PM box.
  10. I'm so sorry for your loss Zell. Losing a pet is tough. Hang in there pal.
  11. Good to see you posting. That rig is all business. Very nice!
  12. I have the Steez Swimbait rod as my frog stick. Insane rod and perfect for frogs. If you want to spend half that and get a rod that is probably 85% of the Steez, they make a Zillion rod with the same specs. I'd pair it with a Zillion hi speed reel and 65 lb braid. You're done.
  13. 5 lbs, tops. Nice fish.
  14. More recently, Horny Toad. Before that, Senko. I'm now starting to like the Fluke quite a bit too.
  15. I'd say he's more of a contortionist than a dancer, but regardless, I enjoyed watching him!
  16. Very good looking bait. He's quite the charachter also.
  17. Just came home from the hospital. Her mom stayed with her tonight. She's doing much better, I can't believe her tolerance for pain. She's refusing most of the pain killers and morphine. I'd be loopy by now for sure. :-? I told her about this thread and all the nice things everyone has posted, guys you all made her smile. I'm so grateful to have your support and friendship. She goes home tomorrow, it'll be ~3 weeks before she is back to normal.
  18. Political no, economy/finance yes. We have an interesting year ahead of us.
  19. Thanks so much guys, I'm so grateful that all went well, it was quite the morning. She's sleeping now, so I came to the office to get some work done...
