Went fishing to the private lake I have access to yesterday with a good friend. One the drive out (2.5 hours) we were almost hit by a kamikaze dove, then a falcon, and then this guy who apparently did not do a very good job of gauging the distance x speed x lift.

I live near Hollister, CA. BIG rally there this weekend with 10k+ bikers in town. They're all over the place around here now. Apparently the movie The Wild One was based on some occurrence there several years ago.

Those steaks are beautiful. Agreed on the reverse sear. I've never done overnight dry brining, I usually take the steaks out of the refrigerator two hours prior to cooking and rub with course sea salt as they come to room temperature. What are the benefits of the overnight dry brining?

We have a substantial amount of wild turkey around our property as well. They're only slightly skittish.

It's probably not the dead mouse smell, rather, it's mouse urine that you smell. Good luck in getting it all out. I had one of my boga grips in storage and it reeked of urine smell. Tried everything to get the smell out. Ended up having to tear off the neoprene grip and sent it in to Eastaboga, they replaced it. Smell is now gone.

Real easy. Be yourself. When I'm interviewing people for the office I can usually smell the BS right away. If not, it rears its ugly head pretty soon after they're hired, and then released.
