  2. oh dang, those are some nice fish. I will have to try there sometime...
  3. Bass aren't biting in MI yet
  4. must be coming out with a 3.0...
  5. New specs and description on abu website. Tackle tour has a review of the New Vendetta.(recently posted) The rod it self looks different. Cabelas even has the NEW badge thing next to the Vendettas on their website
  6. I know but this is the NEW one, its the 2017 revamp of the Vendetta model, I'm trying to ask if the NEW vendetta is better than LAST Years Veritas 2.0. Thanks,
  7. Last years Veritas is on sale at Cabelas for 69.99$ The new Vendetta is for sale at 79.99. Which one is better? I dont imagine theres much of a difference, but ive heard plenty of stories about broken Veritas...
  8. wow I never thought of that, it makes sense. thanks!!
  9. wow, thanks for finding all of that info for me!! I appreciate that. What does the vintage number mean?
  10. thanks for the tip, will do. They may be different sizes I'm not sure. the old one is definitely bigger
  11. side by side of the old and new jitterbugs
  12. I was fishing in a local lake for northern pike and I found a original jitterbug, snagged in a grass mat. the hooks were rusted and the paint faded but the action is still way better than my new jitterbug. probably not worth anything but still cool. I will probably try to catch a fish on it sometime
  13. I used braid for the first time today, power pro original. (20 lb) it casts so far and I was able to pull all my snags out. i did get one wind knot but it was my fault, not the lines. I recommend it to the first time braid user...
  14. I would have kept it if there were more perch in that river. That was my first one and I've fished there a long time. Perch is very good though. that 16 perch would have been more of a trophy than a 17 inch walleye
  15. here it is, please note that I have rather large hands.
  16. I would say keep your Jon boat.
  17. Thanks, I will post a pic soon
  18. My experience is that stocked trout will hit anything,I was having them blow up, yes BLOW UP!! on freaking topwater poppers the same size as them... good luck though, rooster tails work good. I like 1/8 oz
  19. I caught my PB yellow perch on saturday, I was fishing in the river with a jig and I caught something that felt way bigger than all the dink trout i was catching. It was a big spawning female yellow perch, my first ever perch from that river, I didn't even know it had any. It was 11 inches long and so fat I couldn't fit my hand around it. I will post a pic later. I released it so It could spawn
  20. thanks, I'm sure it will be fine then especially since I would be putting it on a pretty nice reel
  21. I recently borrowed a friend's setup for a day because mine was too heavy to use with the small spinners we used for trout. He had on braid and I really liked it and I'm cnsidering switching to braid from mono. One thing I noticed was that the line was like a sponge, it soaks up water on the spool and if you squeeze the line on the spool, the water will ooze out. Will the water absorption hurt the reel after a while?

  23. Whats the difference, is the slick worth the extra $$?
  24. Yeah. I caught a few perch last fall (around October) that had some eggs skein, they were very small eggs
  25. Thanks! I'm very new to the Salmon fishing game so there's a lot i don't know.
