  1. Wow! Do you have any pictures...Sounds like you had a pretty dang good day on the water
  2. Water temps around here are not even close to 60. Good there are other Michigan people getting on the fish though
  3. Thanks. I figured it out!!! One question I still have is, what brand and kind of gear oil do you use? I will make sure to pick some up soon. I appreciate all your help with my reel issues.
  4. Lucky you hopefully it warms up soon
  5. I appreciate the prompt reply. Do I tighten the screw all the way. Because that affects how much it turns. I will get all the old oil out and put on grease
  6. Would you say to use grease then. Im probably going to some cheap ABU GARCIA reel grease. Because its cheap and thats the brand of reel. Also how can I center the screw perfectly on the knob so it doesnt rub the bearing.
  7. Theres a small local lake i know of that has pike for sure. How could I possibly locate and catch these fish. It is a shallow weedy lake
  8. Hey Im not the only one. In case your wondering its really bad to forget paddles if you're fishing from a canoe... After that day, I made a check list
  9. Its June already and water temps are still very cold. At this rate the Bass and Bluegill wont even spawn until like July Hope it warms up. How are the other Michiganders doing at catching fish...
  10. X2 I have a friend who has 80 lb on a bass rod and it goes only like 25 yards at most. Its hilarious
  11. X2 I love the powerpro line
  12. I couldn't find ANYTHING about this so maybe I'm the only one with this problem. I have an Abu Garcia Pro max BAITCASTER that had a small amount of sand in the handles. I cleaned most of it out with a Q-tip and then I unscrewed the small screw that holds the handle on. I got the sand off no problem but when I replaced the screw and handle knob, The handle wouldnt spin as good. I loosened the screw a little but It was louder and less smooth then before. I put a few drops of oil in and it spins way better but is still a little noisy. All the sand is gone and Im SURE there is no dirt in the bearing. What can I put in there to make it more quiet. I would rather it be quiet and smooth then slightly noisy even if it spins longer that way. Thanks
  13. I hunt mostly whitetailed deer and sometimes squirrels or rabbits
  14. weird, the supreme is way more expensive than the president le. I wonder why they made it that way.
  15. i have a pflueger president LE (the same as the President XT) and i took that screw off with a screwdriver this weekend to oil it, because it was kind of loud. Now its fine.
  16. I think pro max is pretty good, i have one. This is going to be a little better though for about 20 more Abu Garcia REVO S
  17. oh lol it says on Daiwas website that the REVROS has an Air-rotor not an air bail. I got confused
  18. or MSU Spartans(if we're talking about college teams)
  19. I say go with the RG, but they both are solid. NOTE: Both reels have an Air-bail
  20. i have a pro max. Its pretty good. I would reccomend
