  1. ok if it was him then im sure that it was put together correctly
  2. is it possible part 81 is put in the wrong way ? those spring washers have a curve to them and should be put in like this () (i think, might want to ask a professional) just a thought.
  3. zoom lizard.
  4. the only advantage of flouro is visibility that i know of, mono will work for anything, ive used it for everything from dropshot to punching/frogging, are there better lines for some techniques ? sure, but for all around, mono cant be beat. personally i like stren.
  5. 15lb should be perfect, for me personally 12 sounds alittle light. but would work still.
  6. well if your against killing worms for sport then keep the bluegill and then its not "sport" its for a reason ive never used any fake live bait, what i have done is put a crappie jig and a 1" grub underneath a bobber and slowly bumped it along, caught alot of crappie doing it and my grandad who taught me to do it, once caught a 7lber doing it (about 50 yards away from where i caught my 12 lber)
  7. for 50 dollars theyre the best imo, are they going to compete with reels in the 150+ price range? not at all, but i will say for 50 bucks theyre dang good reels.
  8. leader knots are just asking for trouble, use straight flouro/mono or forget it. leader knot is another thing to go wrong.
  9. id definitely like to see if these reels can handle it,
  10. thats the assasin i think, not a stealth
  11. i always am able to pull line from my reel, no matter what, except 80lb braid, which i dont even have a spool of anymore.
  12. zoom lizard, the only time i EVER fish a lizard actually. always a black and silver one too. weightless on occasion but normally a 1/8 and sometime a 3/16 or 1/4 i do not peg the weight 3/0 heavy wire worm hook no leaders, just 17lb mono.
  13. im throwing frogs and t-rig swimbaits with good success. theres still a few on beds, caught one on a bed yesterday, swimbait work well for that, as soon as it touched bottom THUNK. just a male though.
  14. i notice one thing here, in your title you called it your pond... "you don't own the water bro" has never been more true.
  15. ? that tells the truth ? my point is that heavy lines wouldnt be needed if there was no bottom structure, nothing for the fish to wrap you up, 6lb will be great for really light lures, but there is always such a thing as too light.
  16. ok, start fishing t-rigs around cover with 2lb test and tell me how that goes ive never used fireline, but spool it up and see how it goes.
  17. personally i say 17lb, little more power to horse the fish out. and for all around i would prefer mono to flouro, all that stretch crap is just hype, set the hook like a man, my grandpa could rip a fishes lip off with a 3 foot kids pole and a spincast with mono.
  18. out come could've been very different if they weren't.
  19. booyah pad crasher hands down for the frog.
  20. i like to fish frogs in open water if its shallow, alot of time i find that that silent twitching along the top can be better than the splash of a popper,
  21. i use i use white, green, and black. im reffering to the belly, since thats what the fish sees. i almost only use the normal frog, popping frogs never have really been good to me.
