  1. Spinnerbait is a great option to have, arguably the best when fish are chasing bait on cloudy or windy days, lipless cranks take their place when it clear, as for color just try to match the hatch. Another good bait for those deep holes would be a jig, 3/8 or 1/2 oz with a craw trailer, I like the yum Christy craw but that's just preference.
  2. cheap mono pair of scissors and alot of practice
  3. i want to get a new reel and im looking to get a shimano, anyone here have good/bad experiences with the caenan ? is it worth the money, will it last, etc.
  4. are they the same as the other 13 rods ? just a different color ? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-THFC.html?from=basres
  5. chrome blueback original.
  6. i use pad crashers, imo theyre one of the easier frogs to set a hook with, and they walk decently. you dont have to walk it for fish to bite, a soft twitch and stop type movement will do fine. have you trimmed the "legs" ? if not trim them to be the same length as the frog.
  7. im 15, been fishing pretty much my whole life, and have never stuck myself past the barb.... yet.
  8. get a reel with strong drag, frame, and a decent speed, atleast 6.3 or better frame because your using heavy line and putting it under alot of stress. drag because you need power to get the fish out. speed to get him out before he wraps you up. the *** A seems to have all of those features, but thats just on paper, ive never used a 13 product.
  9. was crappie fishing with my grandad and he caught a 7lb bass on a crappie jig under a bobber.
  10. black max for 40 bucks at academy, easy to cast, and have a solid drag, and 6.4 is a good all around speed. perfect beginning bait caster.
  11. got a similar looking back lash out last year, took an hour and a half, but i saved my 4 bucks worth of line >.>
  12. yep, they're going out of business for a reason, they weren't that great. you can buy anything from your home on tackle warehouse, why go anywhere else.
  13. youll get a better cast with 30/40, save the 50/65 for the salad.
