Besides punching, how do you fish milfoil
Thank you everyone for the replies. Please don't get me wrong, I love punching milfoil. The issues I was having is this time of year the milfoil is dead on the top(about a foot below the surface) and the new growth is about a foot below the dead stuff. With the wind we are having it was tuff to pick out the pockets. I found a bunch a few weeks ago in tme milfoil with a chatterbait, but was getting tired of ripping it through and then picking the dead milfoil off my lure. That area is about 2 acres. The lake (60 some acres) has multiple areas like this. Right now with everyone off, everyone is pitching this area. I wanted to try the swim jig in there(experiment) this area is great in the summer when you can figure out the depth the fish are holding. I've had days just in this area with 5 or more bass over 3 lbs, just pitching this area and another one.

Besides punching, how do you fish milfoil
Bought a few swim jigs last night. I went out this morning. Nothing for the first hour and a half. Then the wind picked up. Got my first swim jig bass. (2.5lbs) caught a 1 over also in the milfoil. I then got some balls and decided to fish the nastiest part of the lake. What you see above the surface is about a third of the wood. 5 minutes casting into this mess and bam a 4 lber. I caught 2 more 2 lbers and had to call it a day

What Makes For A Good Chatter Bait Rod ?
I use a mh model fast 6' 6" rod with 17lbs fluro. I like the shorter rod for skipping. I use to use a mh/ fast but lost a bunch of fish. After reading g these posts, I'm wonder if the action has more to do with the power of a person's hookset?

Waterproofing Plywood That's Not Below The Waterline
On another forum (which is about redoing aluminum boats) they suggest using OLD-TIMER S FORMULA One part Boiled Linseed Oil, One part Spar Varnish or Spar Urethane. Two parts Mineral Spirts. It's cheap and lasts forever Also never use (regular) pressure treated wood on a aluminum boat

Curado K vs 70 for Flipping
My dedicated punching/ pitching combo is a 7'2" expride heavy with a curado 70. I have reeled 5 pounders through heavy milfoil and slop. The 70 will be a great reel for your uses. I have not used a k, but the 70 is a great size reel to palm. I have Diawa tatula sv's and preference the the 70

Tatsu vs Sniper
I use 17 lbs sniper and 12lbs. I know it's not a great comparison, but the difference is night and day. I use conditioner on the sniper. I have never used it on the tatsu. I like both, but rely on the tatsu for my lighter line applications. When I use conditioner on new line. I spray conditioner onto a sponge and run the line through it, while filling the spool. I do this with braid too. (Instead of line conditioner, I use fabric conditioner) it seems to last longer that way. Sorry to hear you are having problems. I love me some tatsu!

Help with 2019 Tracker Pro Team 175
I don't have a tracker, but with minn kota trolling motors, they use locking nuts. This could also be a possibility why they are spinning. You will need to get a wrench in there. When installing the new motor. I f you are using an electric tool to install the bolts. ( If the nuts that come with your new trolling motor are locking nuts. ) DO NOT RUN THEM FAST INTO THE NUT! It will heat up the nylon in the nut and make it a pain in th a$$ to take them off in the future. Don't ask me how I know ?
