  1. You are correct. I was trying to get a quick answer so I could get started. Thank you Thank you
  2. I just received a roll of carpet padding from bass boat seats.com. I was wondering, if the shiny side of the padding goes up or down Thank you Mike
  3. I understand you want to keep it simple. The on/off switch will allow you to shut of any possible battery drain, while the boat is not in use. I should have said a disconnect switch. I prefer blue seas, but this will work. Battery Switch, 6V 12V 24V 48V 60V Battery Disconnect Master Cutoff Switch for Marine Boat RV ATV UTV Vehicles, Waterproof Heavy Duty Battery Isolator Switch, 275/1250 Amps, On Off Position https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HT19T5V/ref=cm_sw_r_em_taa_e0cKCbERWZAGD I got into the habit of shutting this off when I put the transom straps on. You will probably find most people will recommend this
  4. Yes you can run the grounds to the ground on the fuse block, as long as you have a ground from the battery going to the fuse block ground. I would also suggest you do something like this; Battery------30 amp breaker-------on/off switch--------fuse block--------switches
  5. Only a few more things to do. I still have some wood on the back deck to remove. I'm going to move the biliage hatch back about 2 inches. I have to make brackets for the recessed trolling motor tray and a few other little things
  6. I got the new console done. There will be a hatch on the front to access my fuse box There will be battery storage underneath the seat pedestal. I used reinforced aluminum with plenty of bracing for this hatch.
  7. I use a drop shot rig about 30% of the time. Usually a 4 or 6 inch bait. I've caught muskie 32" and over on 10 lb test. I have also caught slot of bass 3 lbs and over on a drop shot. It's not a rig that only catches small bass. Don't be afraid to throw it near cover. If I feel it getting hung up on cover, just be gentle. Lift the rod slowly till you feel the bait hit the cover and SLOWLY jiggle the rod till the bait comes free. When putting the bait on, I start about an inch back and run the hook through the middle of the bait, till I can barely see the hook penetrate the front.
  8. Step box is built My next step will be fabricating a hatch in front of the live well. There will be battery storage underneath this hatch. I will reinforce the brackets under the hatch lid. A seat post will be placed in the middle of the hatch lid.
  9. If you're planning on taking it down to the bare metal, this pad on a grinder, will knock the paint t off in a hurry. A lot less messy than sand blasting. You still may want to sand blast the joints. On my buddy's trailer we got the joints reasonably clean with the grinder. He used bed liner paint on his trailer and 15 years later it still looks good.
  10. New hatches in place Next step will be building a step box
  11. Rod locker is finished. I can fit up to an 8' rod in there.
  12. Well I finally decided it was time to restore the boat. I started out stripping all the old carpet. What a mess. I could only fit a 6'6" rod in the rod locker so, Started to lengthen the rod locker. I wish I would have taken more before pictures. I will continue to post pics along the way
  13. My bad, when typing flip flopped fuse and shut off. The bus bar is for 2 fuse panels ( I have a bunch of electronics at the bow) and 2 auto deploy anchors. I have all these items enclosed in an 8x8 waterproof electrical box, with the main shut off on top of the box, for easy access. I did tell him his order is correct.
  14. Your order is correct. Battery Fuse Shut off switch Fuse panel Switches I ran mine in a similar fashion but added a bus bar: Battery Main shutoff Fuse Buss bar Fuse panel Switches Let me know if this helps.
  15. Spending the money doesn't bother me as much as losing my boat for 10 days. Just want to loose my boat and $150 . Just to fish dead waters. If i do go and don't have any passengers, I'll give you a shout @YoTone
  16. I use it. It works well enough to notice a difference. For braid I use Braid Aid.
  17. Is it worth the 10 day boat quarantine to fish here?
  18. You should probably blame the team as a whole. Yeah he missed the kick (tipped ball), But they sure didn't play like a team that should be in the playoffs
  19. Same here. I love this rod. It is very sensitive and light
  20. Cabelas has the HB solix 10 and 12 for $300 off and a $300 Mastercard if bought before 12/31
  21. I have a Dobyns fury 735 teamed up with a Diawa Tatula CT Type-R. It's a good combination
  22. Just tried this. Do you have to order more than one?
