  1. I use 2 beads on my Carolina rig a 6 and a 8. My sixes stick together and my eights Stick together, but none of them stick together on the Carolina rig. I think I read somewhere that magnetism is a good thing, as fish are drawn to it. Sounds weird, I'm not so sure
  2. Any idea when you will be able to start servicing reels again?
  3. Its the outer sleeve. Pretty easy fix. Its about $30. Could fix it and sell it
  4. Not sure, but I think the shafts have a lifetime warranty.
  5. I go through milfoil so thick you can't see through it, with no problems
  6. Probably because this lake has a decent amount of bass over 5lbs ^^^this, but use a black with chartreuse flakes. Dark color plastics work well on this lake
  7. I'm not sure if you are taking about your lake turning over. If this is the case, try using darker color plastics, chartreuse cranks( if that's your thing) Try fishing deeper if you're lake normally has a thermalclimb
  8. Maybe try something like this. Hopefully A Jay will chime in, he has some pretty cool rugs like this
  9. You can correct me if I'm wrong, but the pre braid drop shot fishing was done in saltwater fishing. If this is true (used this saltwater fishing as a kid) I remember the fish ( Pollack) hammering this bait and sensitivity was not an issue. Tie your palomar knot. Pull the main line and the tag end together to tighten the knot. Take you tag end and run it through the hook eye. Pull the tag end till the knot comes through the hook eye
  10. Drop shot is a finesse bait. It will work in any color water, just like a Texas rig. Try using a 4" bait nose hooked. Should help. Sometimes I'll go with a 6", but most of the time I'll use a 4". Find a YouTube video on trying a drop shot hook. Most people I know won't use the hooks with swivels. There seems to be a better hookup ratio using the standard drop shot hook. They cost less too?
  11. Curado's have the break adjustment on the inside and outside the side plate. No need to remove the sideplate for adjustment s after it's set up.
  12. I have the following reels Curado 70 Curado 200 Citica Tatula ct Tatula ct type r Tatula sv I can say without a doubt if I was a beginner afraid of backlash, I would buy the tatula sv. That said if I wanted to learn to be more proficient and learning to us my thumb a little, I would buy the curado. People are very loyal to their brand of reels. Can't blame them. Shimano's and Diawa reels are both great brands. I enjoy them both. Bottom line is what you want to get out of the reel your using. If I were to start over, i would buy the curado. Your gonna pick out more backlashes at first, but you will be better at using a baitcaster.
  13. I fished 2 small lakes (90 acres) Once I learned to use my ff side imaging my catch rate doubled. I found structure that I fished over or went by and never new it was there. My fishing skills haven't changed, just the places I fish
  14. Check for used. A lot of people are selling, because they bought ultrex
  15. Do you have too much line on the reel?
  16. KISTLER HELIUM 3 LIGHT MED HEAVY. Sign up for their email. When they go on sale, buy one. I have a GLomis nrx and fish more with my Kistler. Great rod for the money
  17. Go to the tackle shop in wellsboro. Buy some lures and talk to him. The guy knows what's going on, on all three lakes. If you don't want to do that, go to his website and read the fishing reports. He posts them regularly.
  18. Thank you everyone. I was a little confused.
  19. Since my units are non - mega units - I am merely relaying an observation. Seems the amount of detail one can obtain with a Mega unit as compared to a non - mega unit is fairly substantial. Even when compared to the same size screen. A-Jay So you are referring to the quality of the si and di to find the objects, then use the 360? I am correct in thinking that the gn1 units use the same frequency as the 360?
  20. Got my curiosity A Jay. Could you tell me why the mega would be better. I have a 9 mega and I am purchasing a 360.
  21. You can cut the shaft down, if it really bothers you. I DID. You tube it
