  1. Looking for a new reel to use in milfoil. I will be using a 3/8 to 3/4 punch weight. Give me your thoughts.
  2. Not if you have the ipilot link. You should be good to go
  3. If you look at the Dakota warranty it really not that good. I have been researching lithium batterys and It is one of the worst I have seen. I read the reviews and it seems like you need an act of God to get ahold of their customer support. Please do your research before buying lithium batterys.
  4. Is it for sale in the US yet. If so, where
  5. You can get the Duracell group 31 at Sam's for 179$
  6. I would love to spend a day fishing with Bobby Uhrig. His knowledge and enthusiasm would make for a great day on the water!
  7. I think you may be a little disappointed in a 4 power for t-rig unless your using 3/8 oz plus . I have 4 helium rods. I first purchased the 4 power for t rigs, but found it way better for 1/2 oz jigs. The 3 power is perfect for 3/16 and 1/4 oz
  8. I've tried that and had a problem with the worm sliding up the hook. I want to use elaztech baits and cannot seem to get them on the screwlock. I even tried to heat the screw lock without alot of success
  9. Is there any company that makes a tungsten shakey head without a screw lock?
  10. Lintner won a round just throwing as blue and silver lipless Crankbait
  11. Usually around September the fish in my area start moving to the outside weed edge. I will usually cast perpendicular to the the weed edge. I stumbled on this pattern using a shakey head. Working it down the slope. If there were rock piles at the bottom of the slope, I was throwing a ds right to the pile. I usually cast to the flat and work it down to the bottom of the slope.
  12. I live in Pa and the the water temperature is the same . For the past 2 weeks I have been catching most of my bass (clear or stained lakes) from steep drop offs from a flat. Usually 12 to 18' . The other consistent thing was grass or milfoil. None of the lakes around me have shad, so the shallow bite isn't always a thing in fall.
  13. I had a surgeon who operates on most major and minor league sports in my area.He drilled holes in my shoulder ran thread through the hole and tier that to the tendons. Faster recovery and more likely the adhere to the bone completely. I'm 54 years old and I was back to lifting weights at the end of march I'm not really sure what he ment by handling the boat, with the exception of using the winch
  14. I had my rotator cuff (completely torn) surgery on December 13th. I was fishing at the end of February. I could easily roll cast my baitcaster. Pitching was very limited in the beginning but the more I was out fishing the easier it got. My surgeon went in Orthoscopicly and did a cut on the outside of my shoulder. He had me out of a sling (except in public and when I slept) in 5 days, providing I kept my elbow at my side.
  15. Before you go crazy running wires, try disconnecting your battery charger wire that run to the battery your unit is on. Then try. It might be back feed through your charger
  16. I'll be fishing Alexandria bay area a by tips or lures I should be bring?
  17. Try movi g your bobber stop about 1/2" away from the weight. That should help
  18. No it will not equal more thrust. I have a minn kota 160 RIP tide. It is 2 80 lbs motors.. I also have a 112 lbs motor on the front . The 112 will move the boat faster than the 160. As stated above, get a larger thrust trolling motor on the front. I would think a 70 or 80 would probably move that boat around 3.4 mph or faster. Moving weight (batteries and other gear) toward s the bow will also help move that boat faster when using a trolling motor
  19. Last year fishing a clunker tournament, I was the first boat out. I get to my spot on a point almost in the middle of the lake i cast my drop shot and get hung up in a huge rock pile. While im trying to shake it free, I see the other boats coming. I didn't want to look stupid getting stuck , so while the other boats got closer, ii just pretended to be fishing it normal. As they are passing me I feel a thud on my rod. It ended up being a 3.68 lbs bass. It was also the second biggest bass of the night, which put me in the money
  20. Fishing today in a 5+ acre area of the lake. The milfoil was about 2 feet from the surface. I was throwing my jackhammer just popping the tops of the milfoil. I felt the rod load and set the hook. My line came flying back without the jackhammer. I was ticked. I had just checked my line and knot about 3 casts before. Later I moved the boat about 50 yards. 5 minutes my buddy in the back says he's snagged. I move the boat a little and he's says he's ok it just my lure and starts laughing. About a minute later he's laughing his ass off. I turn around and he has my jackhammer in his hand.
  21. Good idea. I assuming you me to determine if its running true?
  22. Decided to throw a buzzbait today. (First time in 20 years) I started with a toad trailer and while reeling it in the blade was on the surface with the toad aside of it, not under it. I switched to a paddletail and it helped a little, but it was still to the side about a half an inch under water. It is a brand new cavitron. What am I doing wrong?
  23. I used the double split ring for about 3 yrs. When using braid, the braid would get caught up in the split ring. Sometimes to the point I would have to cut and retie. I haven't noticed any difference in the amount of bits I get. If I decide to use a lure like this other than punching, I throw a Tokyo rig
  24. I have used these shakey head jigs for a while and have lost very few do to getting hung up.
