Wornout Baitcaster HELP
Oh I got that one too, I believe it was curado 100D or Okuma Helios and that the first time I service a reel with clicking drag. In order to get to wormgear, you will have to remove all these, left side plate, spool, handle, drag and washers to remove right side plate. After that just simple two screw for front (nose). Make sure you organize whatever parts in order so you can put in back accordingly, better yet take picture of every step start from handle. Pay very attention to washer from main shaft it supposed to be either () or )(. It is not difficult but easy to mess up as well. Good luck, if you don't know what you are doing send to pro. DVT is good reliable with reasonable price. since you have this reel only 2 years and already have problem with pawl and worm gear, it means you have not service it regularly (lube or heavy oil). It might be a good time to have DVT service/tune up the reel for you at the same time.

Wornout Baitcaster HELP
The only hard part I can see from servicing wormgear is to remove those two tiny lock clip (E clip?) unless you have specific tool for it. Last time I did this the clip flew away even though I was very careful, took me almost an hour to find it plus another 10 mins to put it back. I hate those tiny clip.

How many times pitching to spot
Maybe we are in different situation. I pitch to tree from shore mostly within 10-15' so it might be around 6' deep. There are many small brushes, grasses along shoreline where I cannot get access for bass to hide.

How many times pitching to spot
Thanks a lot for this question, I was gonna ask this exact same thing. I've been fishing around tree for past couple months now. How do I know there are fish in there? Some tree look really good but no fish. If you pitch to outside first and there is fish under that tree would you think fish would come out and strike? What lure best for this situation? Most of the fish I caught I had to really dig inside which sometime make in impossible. I hardly catch more than one fish from the same tree, only if I come back a few days later. @68camaro sorry for hijacking your thread. I think that all my questions are related to your and might help you getting more info. Number 1 and number 3 together prohibited from this site.

Launching and Retrieving
Been there done that, that why I always take my boat out not on busy day. Now I get better only need once or twice to straight up the trailer, but still avoid busy hour. One time my wife tried to back up trailer by herself. She jackknifed pretty bad and lifted one side of trailer up almost 90 degree into sky.

Gamakatsu EWGs Bending Out
Bend out on fish, you must fight those fish pretty hard? I'm the fan of lite wire Gammy EWG hook #2 for my drop shot. I can bend those hook with my #14 Izorline or 30lb braid line when snag, but not with my #8 Hybrid line(line broke at knot).

Not Cool II
Or someone caught and released this bass without knowing injured the bass some how. He died, bird, wind or something pull him out of water. In the past week I saw at least 4 bass dead on shoreline, beach area.

A possible change in the zinkerz's formula
think it this way, you don't have to prep to make zinkerz float. Lol everytime I use new zinkerz on my shaky head, I have to prep it by fish it wacky/Texas rig until it start to float then save that for my shaky head. I think he might catch more fish with that floating zinkerz.lol

A possible change in the zinkerz's formula
Okay just came back home from fishing, caught 2 on Drop shot with Z-man 3" grub. Now about zinkerz, I check the fall rate between the one from yesterday and my old bag about 2 months ago. It is actually the same fall rate, stretch and cut half the new one and plenty of salt in there.

A possible change in the zinkerz's formula
I just got one bag yesterday will compare it for you. I lost a whole bunch of Zman too but to brush, tree and rock. The plastic is so durable even after snag to a tree pull it out bend the hook, it is still look as good if it were Senko it would have tear in half.

Daiwa J Braid
I have them in 20lb dark green on my 3 spinning and 30lb chartreuse color on my chronarch 50e. They are pretty soft, castable and quiet compare to PP, but the faded so fast my white chronarch become green-yellow and the dark green look like white braid now. I think I will go back to PP for now, already order 30lb to replace the one on chronarch.

Girlfriend and hobbies?
No I don't have my shop setup. I was gonna set one up in my garage (3 cars garage) but all the dust all over our car and my motorcycle. My wood working is just small stuffs that useful around the house. I gave my work bench and wheel cart to my friend when we move here a few months ago.

Will they bite again?
To me, if I missed hook the fish they would bite again, some right away, some longer. If I set hook fish jump spit the lure out or like broke off, never see that fish again.

Girlfriend and hobbies?
Seem to me like, she is not your GF material, nor do you her BF material. I married, we have no kids and I have 3 hobbies that I love to do, fishing, riding motorcycle and wood working. I work 6 days a week and my day off is our family day. Even though my wife not enjoy my hobbies but she truly support it. She hand picked this bike for me after I sold my first one due to accident. She let me buy all fishing gears(after a lot of nagging and whining ?) and even move to canyon lake so I can fish more conviniently. All I want to say is you will have to compromise, not all about you and your fishing dilemma. I don't get to fish all day, but I will fish whenever I can 2-3 hrs and when she is not around or while she's sleeping, Once awhile she would let me out for a whole day trip with friend. But whenever she needs me home, I'll be home. Find a day or hour that you can go without interfered both of your day. Take her out with you not just for fishing but maybe a picnic day where you can fish. She might enjoy more if you got as a group so she can talk to someone while you are away fishing. Good luck in your relationships, it tough but you will find some happiness in it.
- How far can you cast a senko?

Not Cool
At least he should let you take some picture with that fish, so you both can claim over that fish.

Superglue bait keeper
X3 here, use it all the time on my owners ultra ball head jig and my hook keeper for Zman plastic. when you practice skipping, your jig would land far harder on water surfaces than experience skipping. I once broke off jig head from blade on Zman original chatterbait just from practicing skipping.
